About this property

The Old Butcher's Shop, Heacham, Norfolk

The Old Butcher's Shop is a spacious and delightful detached conversion, oozing character and style, located in the centre of Heacham within easy walking distance of the beach, shops and pubs/restaurants.Detached and stylish, it makes a great romantic escape for one or two couples or a small family.

Beautifully transformed and converted by the owners into a gorgeous detached holiday home, this special hideaway is ideal for both walking and cycling enthusiasts who want to be in a thriving village yet within easy reach of the countryside, beaches and sea.

Formerly serving life as the village butchers, The Old Butcher's Shop sits under a slate roof with Norfolk red brick walls. The owners have spent the last few years sensitively refurbishing and renovating it into the rustically romantic home it is today. Now this tastefully styled self-catering bolthole invites couples and families to immerse themselves within. Perfectly positioned to access the North West Norfolk coast it is also well located for exploring the whole of the North Norfolk coast. The large kitchen is well-equipped with an electric oven with hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave plus a large table that can seat ten if required when booked with The Old Butcher's Stores. A solid oak king-size bed rests as the focal point of bedrooms one and two, dressed in beautiful linens and textured throws, which promises a peaceful and sumptuous night's sleep. A further double bedroom is stylishly equipped with beautiful window dressings, mirrors and artefacts. Using a palette of calming chalk paints intermingled with splashes of colour, the large family bathroom has an essence of French boudoir.

Sit outdoors with a pot of tea and survey a map to plot your day; whether it be walking, cycling or simply heading to the beach. If you can't bear to tear yourself away from this beautiful house, then relax outside in the sunshine in the lawned garden. There is private parking to the rear of the the property for two cars. Whilst retaining its authentic character, we´re sure you'll be seduced by the charm of The Old Butcher's shop unique features.

New Years break
Wonderful property in a very quiet location despite being in the middle of a town. The house is large with lots of separate seating areas to relax in. The kitchen / dining area is the centre of the house, next to a cosy nook and fireplace. Ample off road parking, and easy access to beautiful beaches; one a short and pleasant walk away.

Spacious, well-equipped accommodation in a good location for North Norfolk
We all enjoyed our stay at the Old Butcher's shop. There was lots of room for the four grandchildren aged between 3 and 10 years to spread out and relax. The accommodation is well equipped with everything you need in excellent condition. WiFi is very good - an essential for our 10 year old granddaughter! We would certainly consider using this accommodation again.

Fabulous place to stay
Thoroughly enjoyed our week in the Old Butcher's Shop. There is everything you could want there. The kitchen is a lovely bright room, and there are several lounges that are cosy in the evenings. The location is ideal for touring this part of Norfolk, and there are many fine eateries within easy striking distance. Would certainly recommend it.

Our stay at The Old Butcher’s Shop, Heacham
This is a lovely house and provided everything to give three generations of our family a wonderful holiday. The accommodation was spacious in every way and the social areas perfect to allow family time together. We used the offer to park a car on the alternative parking area as access to the drive was quite tight, especially as other vehicles were parked on the road outside. We loved the bedding and towels and all the kitchen equipment, which was extensive, but we did re-wash some of the crockery and glasses before use as they didn’t feel totally sparkling.
