This charming beachfront rental unit is a part of a duplex that sits on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, located in beautiful North County San Diego, where the weather is pleasant all year long. This gorgeous rental is fully furnished and professionally decorated, with every necessary amenity. This rental has stunning ocean views all along the west side of the house, with an oceanfront balcony off of the living room and kitchen. There is also a private lanai in the front of the house with patio furniture and a fire-pit.

This vacation rental is a home away from home. Each room has character, and everything is professionally decorated. You will find everything you need right in the rental, from beach towels to linens, from spices to coffee grinders and garlic presses. Great family beach vacation!

Spectacular view of the ocean from this fantastic beach house. We had a few issues but they were dealt with promptly and were resolved. We highly recommend staying at this house!

Amazing Views

Overall the house is lovely. Felt like a dream. We saw dolphins every morning and beautiful sunsets in the evening. Everything a short walk or short drive away. Hosts communicated well, resolved issues quickly, and provided great amenities.

Breath taking view

The property is set in an ideal location in Encenitas. The view of the ocean especially at sunset is beautiful! There is everything you need and it all works perfectly. The beds are super confortable. Great A/C and central heating. Close to the beach, coffee shop, small local grocery and many more. We had a great stay, thak you!

Stunning views & amazing location

Loved our stay at this little home on Neptune. Photos definitely are not indicative of the state of the home though - the place is more run down than it seems and the photos are definitely taken on wide angle, especially on the room with the bunk bed. The master shower is horrendous, we didn't even use it once, and the fixtures are old/unstable. I wouldn't recommend this place for young kids (was fine for crawling baby but lots of rusty metal in bed frame, chair bolts, etc). On the POSITIVE side, the views make up for anything the home lacks. The neighborhood is awesome for lots of walks and nearby coffee/food. The management team was great to communicate with (over text) and very helpful when we needed some adjustments to our reservation.

Beach Get Away

Great property location, walking distance to everything. View of the ocean is perfect. The master bathroom shower door is broken. There are coffee machines but no coffee pods or coffee grounds. It was a nice property and enjoyed our time there.

Great house to spread out and relax. 7 adults. Visiting family and daughter that lives local v

Great views and very walkable to restaurant’s and bars. Recommend renting the electric bikes for some fun. Kitchen had all utensils but no coffee onsite but plenty of coffee shops 2 min walk away.

The view of the ocean from this property is fantastic. The house leaves a bit to be desired. We were a group of mature adults but thought that the house was more well-suited to a group of young people who didn’t care that much about their surroundings.

Encinitas Beach Get Away

Overall this is a good place to take your family. The location is amazing and the views are incredible. BEWARE, the primary suite bathroom is just not acceptable. Don't plan on taking a shower in the shower, it is tiny and I have been in larger showers in RV's. However, the area is vibrant and you can walk to many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, shopping etc. Overall the place just needs a little updating.

Fantastic views

The ocean views are terrific. The property is okay. When issues arose with electrical and plumbing, management was quick to respond. The master bathroom shower is not so good. Like showering in an RV. Property is functional, but not terribly comfortable. We definitely enjoyed the wonderful views and watching the dolphins in the surf.

Wonderful

The unit is fabulous & just as advertised. Perfect place for me, my grown children & granddaughters & my son in law’s brother & family. 9 total. Beautiful decor, comfy beds, well-stocked kitchen, and the most spectacular views of the ocean I’ve ever seen & I’m 72 transplanted from the South. It was truly what we all needed. Please note that the AC is not central but not needed. Also, the patio of the downstairs neighbors is right below & very close to the unit’s balcony. But that does not lower my grade of 10. Can’t wait to return.

Beautiful place - too bad management is difficult!

Absolutely a beautiful location, but I will NOT be back due to management. There was no working WIFI in the unit, we had to go out to the street to take a call or text. On our second night, we had a noise complaint, so we were then quiet. The next day, we were on the beach below, and I kept receiving from management about cars parked in neighbors driveways (we did not ) that we played loud music (we didn't have music playing at any point during our trip). Then we received another noise complaint and we were just watching a football games. Frankly I felt harassed and was unable to enjoy that day as I was constantly trying to find a location to respond to texts from management to defend our group for things we did not do. I would have loved to recommend this location, but can not do so because of the way we were treated by management - sad! Not a good way to get return guests!!!!!

Disappointing Encinetas Stay

Falsely advertised as having a hot tub and air conditioning - i had workmen in (5 visits in total) over the 2 full days (3night stay) installing and repairing things - the door couldn't be unlocked to the balcony, it was opened but then at night we couldnt lock it! the individual air cons were really noisy, no working ceiling fan in one double bedroom, floor was dirty as was balcony glass. Cupboard handles were sticky - wasnt clean enough all round. My shower screen door came off the runners. smallest bedroom had a double bunk bed in it and you only had 1M space to one side of the bed which was just enough for a travel cot for my granddaughter, this room had no air con and was set up to sleep 4 adults!! downstairs bathroom smelled of urine - & im still waiting to hear from the company re compensation for a very upsetting once in a life time family holiday!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First day was pretty good. The house is on top of another so you are always looking into a big backyard from the balcony. To open the big double doors and see/enjoy the water view is the sole purpose for this rental. The propert management co rented the lower house to a person who threw quite the party for half of my stay. Despite the rules of no noise after 9, no parties & no smoking it went on til 3 am. Then for the rest of the stay I had the constant smell of marijuana smoke blowing in from their backyard. Had to close the beach view doors regularly since 5 feet below pillows of smoke would fly into my place with my kids. I told the property’s management several times and got told they would handle it. It continued for days despite their words. At one point the office even questioned the weed smell was occurring lol. It and the noise from below was so bad I left a day early since they couldn’t stop the issues & control their renters. . The company refused to refund my last night & was very unprofessional about the whole experience. It was about your money and nothing more. You are a number to them. Despite the rules they post and promises they make. Waste of $3.400. Stay with this company at your own risk. Rob M

For every bad there was a good

We frequent the Neptune rentals frequently so we have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. I will be completely honest with this property so there will not be any surprises for the next renter. I found some of the other reviews spot on. We rented this because we couldn’t get our usual rental for our entire stay. It is a duplex so you are sharing with your neighbor. This unit has a rusted grill, stained patio furniture and an ok jacuzzi in the front of the house. So absolutely no privacy and honestly a bit too ugly to even want to sit up there. It has 2 small, but nice balconies with a nice view of the ocean. Only issue is your neighbors patio is directly in front of you so you feel like you are spying on them. I think it’s uncomfortable for both parties. Nice living room, kitchen, snd dining room set up . Shower head in first floor falls off while showering. First bedroom with bunk beds—- like noted from a previous guest I think used the box spring as one of the mattresses. I went to Walmart and bought 3 inch mattress foam toppers so they could be slept on. I will leave them for other guests. Other bedroom has a nice king bed. Washing machine timer does not work. Quick wash that says 15 minutes took hours to wash. Bedroom upstairs has a nice king bed. The master bedroom has a nice king bed and a balcony which is nice. A fireplace that would never turn on. The master bath was nothing to be desired. A vanity sink…. With nowhere to really put your toiletries. The shower was SO incredibly small that no one could fit in it. It had 2 moving sliding doors that fell of the hinges. The house served its purpose and we are counting the seconds to get to house number 2. Management was on top of things and responded immediately to my complaints.

The property is in a great location right on the coastal bluffs with stunning views north and south. Wonderful sound of ocean waves crashing! The house was clean and well equipped with comfortable beds and pillows. A tad rundown due to proximity to the ocean. And only odd thing is that the property is a duplex and shares a wall with an adjoining five or six bedroom rental, which has access to the larger patio shown in the photos for this unit.

Ocean Views and plenty of room but...

As other reviewers have stated the place is good but the downstairs neighbors can ruin your time there. We had 2 large parties move in during our stay. First party of 12 was very respectful, they had fun and enjoyed the patio but abided by all the guidelines. The second group of 10 were horrible. They shouted and sang and disturbed us immensely to the point of us not wanted to go outside and also having to shut up all the windows and doors to stop the noise which went on past 11:30 for three nights. Very sad way to end our trip. Really think about this before you rent this property, I wish I had.
