Location. Location. Location...this little beauty has it all. Close to shopping, beaches and walking distance to Old Englewood shops, restaurants and Thursday Market.
This cottage is located in "Tiki on the Bay", a small enclave of similar cottages that share a swimming pool. It has recently been beautifully renovated from top to bottom to create a warm and inviting beachy feel...new comfy furnishings, large well designed kitchen, beautiful shower...the list goes on and on.
Then there is the Bay! A wharf to fish from or tie up your boat and a dock to sit on to watch the eagles, dolphins, manatees and the best place to watch spectacular sunsets.
Top this off with attentive hosts Kent and Penny who were always only a call or text away and ready to share their knowledge of local restaurants and attractions to help make your stay as perfect as possible.
We had a wonderful stay. Short distance to the beaches. Beautiful sunsets in the bay. Dolphins and manatee from the dock. The cottage was very clean and nice.
What a lovely location for just relaxing or keeping busy with nearby attractions and activities! The cottage is relatively small, but cute, beachy and clean and had everything we could possibly need (including laundry facilities!) The owners were
quick to answer any questions and provide ideas and recommendations. From the cottage, it's just an easy walk to historic Dearborn St. with its restaurants and shops, farmer's market (Thursday a.m.), and car show on the first Saturday of each month. We also found we had easy access to the surrounding cities of Sarasota, Venice, North Port, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and Boca Grande. We were able to watch manatees and fish from the dock, access nearby beaches, rent kayaks /boats, and visit state parks, museums, rookeries, and local tours. There was never an end to the list of things to do, we just ran out of time! We also took time to relax, swim in the heated pool, and have cocktails on our own private deck while watching the gorgeous sunsets over Lemon Bay! Wish we had more vacation time!
EVERYTHING WAS GREAT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE POOL BEING CLOSED FOR REPAIR. WE NEVER SAW ANYONE WORKING ON IT THE ENTIRE TIME WE WERE THERE. OTHER THAN THAT IT WAS A NICE PLACE TO STAY AND VERY CLOSE TO THE BEACH.

We are glad you were able to get away and stay at our cottage. The pool renovation project has been 2 years in the making and was scheduled to be closed July and August.
Nice location, low key, laid back and convenient. Complex is sort of a tucked away gem. Property is older but obviously very well maintained. Super clean.
What a perfect place to getaway! The cottage is small but it has everything you need to relax and recharge. The pier is a short walk from the front door and the view of the bay is beautiful. The neighbors are friendly and helpful too. We visited the beaches in the area and they are all clean and spacious even when busy. The pool is very clean and well maintained. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and Kent gave us great recommendations. In the evening we just sat at the dock and watched the water. We didn’t have great weather so we missed out on the great sunsets, but we will surely return to catch them. Thank you Kent for your hospitality!
We so enjoyed our stay. Unit was clean and well appointed. Owner was very helpful and available. The location on Lemon Bay is just perfect. Will plan on coming again.
Perfect little spot on Lemon Bay for a couple looking to have a nice get away! We loved the central locations to the beaches. Ken made sure our stay was perfect! We appreciated the Bay view and chairs on the water to sit and relax!!
Looking forward to coming back next year.Beaches, restaurants, and fishing are close enough to walk.Ken and Patty were great😀.

Janet and Tom. Thanks for coming and enjoying yourselves. The dock will miss you fishing from it everyday! Looking forward to your return. Anything for you Tom!
Every detail of the Tiki #3 cottage was perfect as described! Neat as a pin, perfect for singles or couples, morning coffee on the dock looking for manatees or a 5 minute drive to multiple beaches to go shelling or swimming. The property is impeccably maintained and a beautiful heated pool beckons just a few yards away. I highly recommend the cottage and its owners, Kent and Patty, who were wonderful to work with and so welcoming. Thanks so much!!
The place was great awesome location, pool was sparkling clean.
It was a great place to stay we will be back.

Great place and location!
We enjoyed staying in this comfortable cottage. We loved the location and privacy. We were able to put our kayaks in the bay right there. We caught a wide variety fish and saw Manatees right from the dock! Patty and Kent, the owners, even stopped by to visit. Our only complaint would be that the bathroom is very small. We'll be back to Tiki on the Bay.

Cozy Bungalow nestled in perfect location!
5 minutes to Beach Road where we enjoyed Blind Pasd Beach Patk for sunsets and sunning, Englewood Beach for shark's teeth and walking and driving along Manasota Key Road's Canopy of trees. Boca Grande South Beach only 20 minutes away! Wow! Morning coffee and quiet time I enjoyed on the fishing pier at Lemon Bay at the property. A family (4) of Manatee greeted me as they swam around the pier Monday morning (so close I could have leaned over and touched Mama and baby (on her back) as they seemed to look directly at me as they came up for air!
We enjoyed sunset and firepit near tbe pier on site too! Great neighbors! Super hosts!

We absolutely loved staying in this little cottage!
We had such a wonderful time at sweet Tiki #3! Beautiful area, and convenient to just about everything! We got married by the pier one evening while there, during a gorgeous sunset! We enjoyed a few days of our honeymoon at this adorable cottage. It was just perfect for us, and we hope to come back next summer. Thanks Kent and Patty, for making us feel right at home! Tiki on the Bay - A Nice Place to Be
We had a great month at Tiki on the Bay #3. The neighbors were very friendly and we even enjoyed a Beach Boil Pot Luck dinner with them. The cottage is very little, but we weren't inside very much. We toured the area and went to a different beach every day: Stump Pass State Park, Englewood Beach, Blind Pass Beach, Manasota Beach, two beaches in Venice and Boca Grande. We frequented many area restaurants and parks. Went to the Ringling Museum in Sarasota, Tarpon Springs, Punta Gorda and to several art galleries. It was always good to get back to the quiet cottage on Lemon Bay after the crowds of "Snowbirds and Spring Breakers". You can have it all here - relaxing by the pool, the chairs on the waters edge, the deck, fishing - or you can join the "crowds" and visit other areas of Florida.

Cute cottage, as advertised
My husband and I rented this cottage for the month of Feb. The cottage was decorated very nicely. Since we had unseasonably warm weather we spent most of our time at the beach on Manasota Key. I especially enjoyed the quiet screened in porch for nighttime reading and relaxation. The small complex was nicely taken care of and the neighbors were friendly. I would recommend it to others. We had a great time

Quaint Cottage by the Bay
Rented this cottage in August and loved it. Was a lovely spot, no others around and we felt like we had the entire cul-de-sac to ourselves. Sitting on the bay with coffee in the morning or watching the sunset at night - all what we expected and more. Saw lots of wild life, including dolphins that cruised by not more than 20 feet away through the piers. Would recommend for those looking for unpretentious, simple get away. Kent checked in with us often to make sure everything was in good order, which was appreciated.

Beautiful sunsets, quaint cottage, friendly neighbors, close to everything
Kent went over and beyond to make sure we had all of the accommodations that we needed. The condo contained everything that we needed including a washer and dryer, pots and pans and even an iron! Kent gave us many recommendations for places to check out around the area! Go to snooks btw it's amazing!! Kent and the rental company took care of us even though we arrived late due to traffic accidents, and we had no problem getting into our condo. I got to see 2 manatees playing early one morning and enjoy the breathtaking sunsets each night. We spent lots of time in the screened in porch and in the dock! Thank you so much for s wonderful experience! Would recommend to anyone !!

About the host
Hosted by Kent and Patty Downey
We are currently Michigan residents and bought this charming cottage on Lemon Bay to use for ourselves and for others to enjoy. We fell in love with the "Old Florida" charming cottages each with their own unique Florida exterior colors. Once we saw the spectacular sunsets, manatees and dolphins, we were sold. If you like a quiet yet fun place that is close to everything, this is for you. The cottage is quaint (500 sq ft) yet everything fits well. We have an extra large closet for your luggage. Don't be surprised if the neighbors invite you down to the waters edge for a crab boil. Many guests of the cottages have come back year after year.
Why they chose this property
Englewoods restaurants, beaches and laid back vibe. It's not a heavy traffic area and a great place to walk or ride a bike around. Dearborn Street, which is walking distance from the cottage has many restaurants and shops to visit. Englewood Beach is only a 5 minute drive across the Bay. Nothing better than your morning coffee or tea sitting in a chair by the water or take a walk to Dearborn Street.
What makes this property unique
You will love the view of the Lemon Bay. The mornings and afternoons are great for kicking back in the Lanai or on the sundeck waterside or go for a swim in the heated pool. The evening sunsets are amazing no matter if you're hanging out in the cottage or sitting on the patio or down at the tiki hut. The fishing from the dock and beach are great too.
