About this property

Spacious barn conversion in a tranquil Oxfordshire village

** Launched Easter 2018**

Barton House Barn is a beautifully converted granary barn belonging to Barton House Farm (Grade II listed ). Positioned in the heart of the picturesque village of Shutford, the Barn overlooks the pretty norman church of St Martin on a no-through road which leads on to beautiful open countryside. It is also a stone’s throw from the local village pub The George and Dragon which offers good local ale and home cooked food.
The Barn is well situated for those who wish to explore the heart of the Cotswolds with Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water and Moreton in Marsh less than a 30 minute drive. It is also within easy reach of the popular market towns of Banbury, Shipston and Chipping Norton as well as the busier tourist destinations of Warwick, Stratford Upon Avon, Oxford and Bicester Village. Having lived in the Cotswolds for 20 years we can offer our guests plenty of advice and information on where to go to make the most out of their stay.

The Barn
The Barn retains many original features including exposed stonework and beams complemented by slate tile flooring running throughout the ground floor. The large entrance hall leads through to the spacious living room and to the kitchen dining room.

Downstairs
Entrance hall with storage and cloakroom area, wc and kitchen dining room. The modern kitchen dining room offers all cooking needs, double oven, microwave, large dishwasher, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle, ceramic hob and coffee machine. The large double aspect living room features large French doors opening straight onto a south facing patio area. Although fully centrally heated for that extra cosy winter warmth there also wood burning stove in the lounge.

Upstairs
Large vaulted ceiling master bedroom with ensuite WC and shower room. The room also features access to small balcony area. The second and third bedrooms are of equal size with double and twin beds respectively. All rooms have wardrobes and drawers for plenty of storage. The family bathroom serves the second and third bedroom. And we have a small laundry room with washing machine for guests who like to travel light. Finally, all beds are new with super comfortable Hypnos quality mattresses to ensure the best night’s sleep.

We have unlimited high speed wifi availble thoughout the house.

Outside
The south facing patio includes outdoor table and chairs, gas BBQ covered by a pergola with climbing roses for some shade.
