Beautiful environment friendly owner

The house closely located to wonderful town Sarlat La Caneda and great foe making trips in the neighbourhood. Lady owner is very friendly. House is large for a family and well equiped. Highly recommended!

Relaxing stay in beatiful surrunding

The house is ina quiet location, yet do central that you can reach many cultural highlights of the region in a short time. Christine gave us a war welcome and was a always available for questions during our stay. We can recommend the accomodation to anyonenwho is interested in a lot of culture and at the same time looking for a retreat

Enjoyable stay in well appointed house

Nice rural location yet close to Sarlat for visits. Countryside setting with bird life all around including green woodpeckers. House was well appointed with plenty of space. Outside space excellent with good seating and tables.

Sarlat stay

Beautiful property in a very nice location. There is some nouse from the nearby road but that is not intrusive and is iften lost in the sound of the occasional donkey, peacock, chicken, cow, woodpecker or bird of prey sounds. Very close to Sarlat for the morning walk in for cafe and croissants. Lovely holiday.

A perfect hideaway close to Sarlat

We loved the setting, character and facilities of this lovely house. Set in the hills with bucolic views and a 15 minute safe cycle ride from the centre of Sarlat. Our host Christine met us and was very kind helping us out when our car broke down. Everything you need is at the property. Highly recommended

Wonderful location, seemingly very remote but near, but not in sight of, a main into Sarlat A beautiful historic quarter with plentiful cafes and restaurants. I guerrilla it would be crowded in summer but perfect in first week of June.Lots of outside space and plentiful supply of tables and chairs perfect for breakfast on the patio or dinner off the barbecue, in the garden. Lots of plates, glasses and cooking stuff every thing you need. The only comment is that there is very little kitchen work surfaces to prepare food. We were okay as we used the patio table but if that was not possible it would be a problem. It is a shame that there are two outside doors in the kitchen which means that it is not possible to extend the work surfaces. That being said we would go back if we were to visit the area again. We saw most things in a week but two would be better. Our highlight was the Jardin d'Eau. Don't miss it!2 good supermarkets within 2 miles.

Beautiful property in a beautiful location with countryside views all around - yet only 5 minutes from Sarlat old town.The property was in need of an airing when we arrived but this could have been down to us being the first renter for the season.The upstairs bedrooms were quite dark due to the old wooden beams and the excessive amount of wood cladding in both bedrooms. The weather was very warm and the heat was quite uncomfortable for sleeping overnight despite the availability of floor standing fans.The outside space was excellent and the front terrace was a great place to spend time either soaking up the sun or sitting in the evening shade.All in all, an excellent gite.

Lovely getaway.

Christine met us at the property and showed us around which was lovely. The house is beautiful with everything you need and more. It is perfectly located 10 minutes from Sarlat and set in beautiful surroundings. Other people have said how quiet it is but it depends on your definition of quiet. For me, I like to be away from 'human' noise so this was spot on - no neighbours to be heard 😊 you can however hear the busy main road you turn off to come up to the cottage. This didn't bother me as I got used to it but did bother my husband. We both loved the house though and would definitely stay again 😊 perfect base for the Dordogne Valley.....only a 15-20 minute drive from Beynac, Chateaunaud, La Roque Gageac etc.....

Wonderful cottage near Sarlat

My wife and I rented this property for the month of May (2023). We really enjoyed our stay in the Dordogne in large part because of this great cottage. The house is located on a private driveway and surrounded by fields. There are neighboring houses visible, but not close by: birds and cows are your traffic. When outdoors the motorway can occasionally be heard, but not inside. The place is not walking distance to the main center of Sarlat--you will need a car and you will need one to go to the town. The location is close to all of the attractions in the area, making day trips very convenient in all directions. The interior is larger than the pictures suggest. The house is well taken care of, spotless, and in great condition. There are multiple outdoor spots, especially a large deck where we enjoyed evenings (weather permitting). Christine has limited English and our French is limited, but we adored working with her: she was very thoughtful and responsive. One tip: be sure to ask where the garbage drop off location is.

Séjour très agréable dans ce très beau gîte, situé proche du centre historique de Sarlat, tout en étant au calme. Belles pièces lumineuses et très bien agencées. Climatisation à l'étage et ventilateurs au rez de chaussée bien appréciés en cette période de canicule. Hôtes vraiment charmants !Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances et avons pu profiter pleinement du Périgord Noir! Merci beaucoup!

Maison typiquement périgourdine, très bien agencée et décorée avec goût. La propriétaire est très agréable et sympathique. Elle vous contactera la veille pour vous donner des précisions sur votre arrivée. Rien ne manque et un petit cadeau de bienvenue (délicieux)vous attend. Les deux terrasses aménagées ainsi que la climatisation des chambres sont réellement un plus. A l'arrivée, quelques produits de première nécessité vous attendent (café, thé, huile, sel, poivre, etc). L'internet fonctionne parfaitement bien. La maison est située à courte distance en voiture de nombreux sites , Sarlat notamment. Un Leclerc n'est pas loin. C'est un endroit où il est agréable de rentrer après une grosse journée de visites. Les photos correspondent parfaitement au lieu. J'espère pouvoir y retourner un jour. Merci Christine pour votre accueil sympathique .

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus im Grünen.Etwa 10 Minuten mit dem Auto bis Sarlat.Viele interessante Ziele in der Umgebung.Wir wollten gern Fahrrad fahren, aber die Straßen waren uns zu steil.Sehr nette Gastgeberin.

Très propre et surtout bien situé pour les visites de tout ce qu’il y a autour de Sarlat. A peine 6 minutes pour le centre historique de Sarlat. 3 minutes pour l’épicerie et une excellente boulangerie. La maison est bien équipée et il ne manque de rien.

Hervorragend, erholsam. Man lebt perfekterweise einigermaßen ruhig - die Umgehungsstraße ist zu hören, wird abends aber ruhiger - und abgeschieden außerhalb, ist aber zu Fuß in 20 Minuten mitten in Sárlat (oder mit dem Auto in 5). Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, freundlich und absolut unkompliziert. Also perfekt für uns.

Excellent ! Nous avons passé 2 semaines de vacances idéales dans cette belle maison en pleine campagne. Tout est exactement conforme à la description, c'est la maison idéale pour visiter cette magnifique région. A moins de 5 mn en voiture du centre de Sarlat ou de la zone commerciale. Mais parfaite pour se reposer et profiter de la nature environnante, bien au calme. Nous avons même eu la visite de chevreuils un soir que nous mangions sur la terrasse ! Christine et Michel sont des hôtes très accueillants et bienveillants. Nous recommandons totalement.
