Free Wifi. This spacious and bright apartment is located in the beautiful white Andalusian village of COMARES, voted 'Pueblo Magico d'España'. The large terrace has a breathtaking view of the SIERRA TEJEDA.


The whole apartment is beautifully and cosily furnished and is equipped with everything you need to make your stay unforgettable: a spacious, bright living room/kitchen with all the necessities, three beautiful bedrooms and two beautifully tiled bathrooms. There is free High speed internet/WIFI, air conditioning, heating, a TV with USB port. The kitchen is excellently equipped with stove, oven, microwave, large refrigerator/freezer combo and plenty of crockery and cooking utensils.

Outside you will find a barbecue, outdoor furniture and sunbeds. It is wonderful to eat under the part of the terrace that is covered with a view of the beautiful surroundings.


Casa Pilar is quietly located on the outskirts of the village and is therefore only a few minutes' walk from shops and restaurants, as well as from the beautiful nature that surrounds Comares.

You can walk, mountain bike, cycle, picnic, photograph, birdwatch, in short, enjoy in the way that you, as our guest, wish.


Comares is perhaps the most beautiful village in the AXARQUIA. A unique white Andalusian village with friendly inhabitants. From the beautiful Balcon de la Axarquia you can look over the mountains to the sea.


Follow the ceramic footsteps through the narrow streets of Comares and discover the Moorish past. Discover Andalusian culinary gems and hospitality in our restaurants and bars.

Do you prefer to cook yourself? No problem, the kitchen is wonderfully equipped and a two minute stroll will bring you to the Plaza de los Verdiales, there you will find a well stocked shop with fresh meat, vegetables, wine, along with all the normal groceries you might need. A few paces off the plaza is the bakery that produces fresh bread from their wood fired oven six days a week. Continuing down the cobbled street for a few minutes, you come across the pharmacy the Plaza Mayor and it's cafe's and restaurant as well as the bank with an ATM.

In July and August, the outdoor swimming pool of Comares is open. Opening hours may vary. It is within walking distance of the house and you can relax there for a small fee.

The largest Zipline (with 3 via ferratas) in Spain is located in Comares. Climbers and hikers... Let yourself go in our beautiful nature. For enthusiasts, there are 4 beautiful walks mapped out.

Comares is also the ideal base to visit Malaga, Granada (Alhambra), Cordoba (Mosque), Seville and Ronda.
Nerja, with its famous caves and the popular Balcon de Europa is not far away.
Only 180 km separates you from the snow fun in the Sierra Nevada!
Walking the famous Caminito del Rey in Ardales is an unforgettable experience!
You can easily do all these sights during a day trip.
The commercial center of Velez Malaga with shops and supermarkets is about half an hour's drive from our house.
The multi-award-winning beach of Torre del Mar is just 30 km from Casa Pilar. You have a lovely promenade and a very extensive beach with many typical beach bars where you can eat crackling fresh fish that was brought ashore the same morning in the nearby fishing port of Caleta de Velez.

Great place

We have been here for 2 months and have had a great time. Beautiful house with a huge terrace and a very friendly and helpful host. After 2 months we left with pain in our hearts. I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend this place in this wonderful village

Beautiful apartment in great location

We stayed here for a week in July 2022. The host was friendly and met us to show us round even though we didn't arrive until nearly 11pm. Apartment has everything you need with a lovely terrace with mountain views. Supermarket and bakery just a couple of minutes walk away. The village is small but has a couple of bars and restaurants and a swimming pool. Air con worked well even though temperatures were very hot. Village is high in the mountains but the road is good so access not a problem. We would recommend this apartment.

Sehr schönes und sauberes Haus

Wir haben unsere Sommerferien 2024 (6 Wochen) in Comares in diesem Haus verbracht. Die Gastgeberin hat uns wärmstens empfangen, hat uns regelmäßig über verschiedene Aktivitäten und Veranstaltungen informiert und hat sich wunderbar um ums gekümmert. Die Sauberkeit dieses Hauses ist herausragend, somit fühlten wir uns vom ersten Tag an wie Zuhause. Die Terrasse ist sehr groß und beinhaltet einen Grill. Diesen haben wir auch regelmäßig genutzt. Abends wehte immer eine frische Briese, somit konnte man wunderbar die Abende und den herrlichen Ausblick genießen. Haushaltstechnisch (Geschirr, Hand- und Badetücher, Waschmaschine, Herd, Kühlschrank/Gefrierfach) alles im Überfluss vorhanden. Es wurde uns ein Ordner mit verschiedenen Prospekten und Karten zur Verfügung gestellt. Somit konnte man vorab die Routen / Aktivitäten planen. Die Zufahrt von Velez Malaga ist etwas kurvig und für die Menschen, die es nicht gewohnt sind über bergige Landschaften zu fahren, etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig. Nach ein paar Tagen gewöhnt man sich eben dran. Wir waren meistens auf dem Strand Torre del Mar (ca. 50 Autominuten). Empfehlenswert ist der Strand in Malaga "Penon del Cuervo" (über die Berge auch ca. 50 Minuten Fahrt) und in Nerja (Playa Burriana) => für mich persönlich der Beste Strand an dem ich bisher war, herrliches Wasser. Nicht zu vergessen die Höhle von Nerja zu besichtigen. Ich vermisse diese Ruhe und die freundlichen Menschen aus Comares / Andalusien so sehr und werde bestimmt wieder kommen.

Avons passé un excellent séjour à la Casa Pilar à Comares. Un panorama magnifique de 360° à 740 m d'altitude, une jolie location très bien agencée et des propriétaires au top! Il ne faut pas avoir peur de faire des kilomètres si vous voulez découvrir l'Andalousie et aimer la montagne! Nous avons voyagé depuis Paris en voiture avec nos 3 enfants. Nous ne regrettons rien! Our stay in Comares exceeded our expectations!

Before we left for our first long term stay in Spain, we had been looking on the internet for 2 months to find a suitable place to stay. It was complicated to find one as we don’t have a car and we don’t only want beautiful nature, but also a shop for the daily needs and an ATM, all within walking distance. At last we found Casa Pilar in Comares, an authentic Spanish village on top of a mountain. Our stay there exceeded our expectations! The house has a magnificent view, which we enjoyed every day. The house was spotlessly clean and it had everything we needed. Pilar is the perfect host. She received us as friends and completely respected our privacy, but she was always there when we wanted to know something. We ourselves consider it very important that it was quiet in and around the house. We have never been bothered by other people’s TV or radio, there were no barking dogs or traffic at night. Because of all this we felt at home in Casa Pilar from the first day. The local people are very friendly and there are numerous possibilities to explore nature. Although we are still physically tired from the many walks we already did, we are not at all mentally tired of the fantastic environment of Comares. We will go back to Comares in December and we have already booked Casa Pilar for another 4 months, so it is clear that we can recommend both the village and the house from the bottom of our hearts.

We had a wonderful 2 weeks in Comares. We have fallen in love with the beautiful village.

Casa Pilar was everything we wanted and more. It was very spacious and beautifully decorated and had a homely feel about it. Pilar was a fantastic host, she catered for all our needs. Our 8 year old son made friends with the local kids and could be found playing football or riding bikes and scooters throughout the day. We will definitely return to Comares and would encourage anyone to go there. Pilar was the perfect host, she really has thought of everything for her guests.

Why they chose this property

The Axarquia of Andalucia offers so much in a reasonably small distance. You can eat lunch on the beach, visit one of the beautiful villages or towns in the area and watch the sunset in the Mountains. There really is something for everyone!
