About this property

Peterstone Lodge, Holkham, Norfolk

A superb, architecturally designed contemporary lodge in a spectacular location enjoying open views across Holkham's ancient woodland. Midway between Burnham Market and Wells-next-the-Sea, Holkham beach - recently voted best beach by Sunday Times and Countryfile - is close by, and it's only a five to ten minute walk into glorious Holkham Park.

Inspired by some of the best hotels, Peterstone Lodge is a city-chic, glamorous detached North Norfolk coastal retreat. Interiors are sophisticated, eclectic, elegant and interesting, with original artworks gracing the walls. Practical Limestone flooring has been laid throughout, two bespoke bathroom suites with thermostatic showers and a well-equipped Smallbone kitchen installed. Both luxurious bedrooms have super-king size beds with extra comfy pocket sprung handmade mattresses and hypoallergenic bedding (bedroom two can be converted into twin beds if required).

The main rooms are flooded with light, with full height sliding doors opening onto the patio and south facing garden which adjoins open farmland - the endless views are divine. Take a seat and you may spot a neighbourly owl quartering the fields, deer wandering in from the park and, in the winter months, enjoy fuchsia skies full of pink footed geese - just magical.

The Lodge is available to book for both short (three nights minimum) and longer stays across the year but we are sure, once you arrive, you will want to stay for longer still. Couples, friends, families and their well-behaved dogs will love this beautiful Norfolk hideaway.

Additional Information
Please note: the lodge is not suitable for children under ten years of age, but babes in arms are welcome. A travel cot (without bedding) is available, however there is no highchair.
Two well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge).
There is superfast broadband.
For access Into Holkham Estate Park, turn right outside the driveway gate onto the main road, then walk 50m or so along the grass verge and turn first right where you will see a pedestrian gate into the park.

A great place to relax
We enjoyed our stay here over New Year. There is good access to walks and a really peaceful vibe. Big comfy sofas and beds. Great kitchen and plenty space to eat and drink a glass of wine or two.

Delightful visit to Norfolk and Pererstone Lodge
We all had a great stay at Peterstone Lodge including Ralph (the dog who loved the garden). The facilities were first class with lots of Quality kitchen and dining equipment which was a bonus. This was a great location for visiting the large amount of country estates in Norfolk (including Sandringham & Blicklington House) which are delightful. This was our first visit to Norfolk, and made extra special by staying at Peterstone Lodge.

Perfect stay in perfect location
Everything about this property was excellent. Comfort marked as good, only because the extractor fan in utility room and fridge freezer were extremely noisy and woke me up on several occasions.

Light and airy and a great base for walks.
Nicely designed lodge within walking distance of a 'back gate' entrance into Holkham Park which is a huge bonus. The photos on the website make this place look larger than it is, but that said, it is very nicely designed and well laid out, perfect for a small family or couple but many more and things could get a little cosy. Some of the art work is an acquired taste and not ideal for breakfast viewing! We loved the comfy sofa and the great views from the huge glass doors in the living space, the whole place is light and airy. Well located for great beaches and the usual excellent range of Norfolk eating places.
