About this property
4BR, 2 level, comfortable House In Kennebunkport/Cape Porpoise Maine.
Between Kennebunkport and Cape Porpoise sits a 4 bedroom house in the trees.
Our house has two bedrooms on the first floor and a family room with a wet bar and a 50” flat screen TV. The first floor bath has a tiled 6’ power shower and a granite topped sink.
The upstairs has a living room, a dining area, a fully equipped cherry kitchen with an island breakfast bar for three. Also a queen size bedroom, another bedroom with 2 twin beds (can be combined to one king sized bed), a full bath with deep soaking tub and a tiled shower. On this floor there is a small deck off of the living room and a large deck off the kitchen with a gas grill and a table with seating for 6. We have internet. Bring books as every bed has a reading light.
There is a lovely yard with gardens, birch trees, stone walls and staircases, so it feels like living in the trees. Plenty of parking. Limit of 6 guests any night. No exceptions.
The house is fully equipped with towels and sheets, just bring your bikes, and toys. We provide beach towels and beach chairs.
Guests arrive at 3pm on a SATURDAY only, and leave by 10 am the next Saturday. Please leave your shoes inside at the entrance. Absolutely no pets or guests with pets (owner allergic) and NO smoking inside the house.
Book now for summer of 2025. The only weeks remaining open are July 5th to 12th and August 23rd to the 30th. If you book that week, you have the option of paying more to stay until Labor Day.
Check photos and many five star reviews! We have returning guests for a good reason.
We are:
A 10 minute walk to Cape Porpoise Village
A 5 minute drive to Dock Square in Kennebunkport
A 10 minute drive to Goose Rocks Beach (parking stickers at the police station).
A 20 minute drive to the movie theater and water parks in Saco.
A 35 minutes drive to Portland, ME or Portsmouth, NH for cultural activities.
45 minutes to Kittery or Freeport for rainy day outlet shopping (LLB BEAN).
Kennebunkport is a resort town with lots of fun shopping and fine restaurants, very picturesque.
Nearby there is summer theatre, golf, fishing, boat tours, sailing tours, land preserves, antiquing and great beaches. Great water view bars and restaurants to linger at. Owners will provide restaurant lists and activities locations. We would love follow up reviews. The home has no water views but is a short walk to Cape Porpoise harbor.
All children over 5 are welcome. Next year, 2026 is fully open for booking. NOTE: We only take Saturday to Saturday (7 days) bookings.

About the host

Why they chose this property
Stephen: I always wanted to live in Kennebunkport and in 1975 I bought this home. 20 years ago, I married my wife and she and I finished the lower level of the house together to accommodate visits from our adult children. Now that they have babies, we find ourselves entertaining them at our lakeside camp all summer, or in Florida during the winters, so the house is available for rentals during the summer months of July and August.
What makes this property unique
Great location with access to all sorts of entertainment and dining, inside and out. Goose Rocks Beach is a short drive away, Colony Beach is even closer, as is Mother's Beach in Kennebunk. Many people bike in groups on this street and it's fun to watch them outpace each other. The house is in a quiet location and there are some lovely nearby walks. It is an easy, short walk to Cape Porpoise harbor and a 5 minute drive into downtown Kennebunkport.
