Perfect spot!

This home was lovely and a perfect spot for two couples. The location was great - in between the FQ and Frenchman St, walking distance to everything we wanted to enjoy in the Bywater, Marigny, Treme and FQ, and a short streetcar ride away from the Garden District, etc. Pam was easy to communicate with and was in touch within minutes when we had a question. We enjoyed lounging on the patio and the front steps, thank you! We would not hesitate to stay again.

Great location

Pam's place has everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Comfortable, clean and steps away from all of the fun. Pam was quick to respond to requests. She has so many cute touches like a water feature on the porch, cable, washer/drier and more. This place has so much personality. We'd love to come back!

Best of the Marigny: Steps from the cool vibe of Frenchmen's music venues and the French Quarter

The Jazzy Sweet Spot is a perfectly located and wonderfully furnished home ... in the midst of the happening music scene, ensconced in a welcoming neighborhood, and close to the French Quarter. The set-up (with two bedrooms, two bathrooms, kitchen, large living room , and dining room) was perfect for two couples who celebrated the Mardi Gras week. We could access most every venue we wished via a short walk or quick uber ride. Pam was a great and responsive host . She has decorated the historic and architecturally authentic home with great taste and comfort... We were really pleased, and will look to rent the Jazzy Sweet Spot next time we plan to got to NOLA. Many thanks Pam!

Great place. Great location.

Just a block or so off Frenchmen's Street just off the edge of the French Quarter. Just far enough out of the way to be gently off the too-beaten track, but close enough to walk back and forth; and indeed all over town. Steps to the water and the French Market. Good food (high and low) nearby and great music everywhere.

Comfortable with attention to the details

Fun neighborhood with many food choices and the bar next door. You will sleep well as street noise is not heard in bedrooms. People from bar next door - very friendly place- will sometimes sit on front door steps. They were friendly and respectful when we approached and quickly moved on. Pam made everything easy from booking to check-out. The house and the neighborhood are stars!

Location location location

Fantastic location. A real neighborhood/local experience. Can walk everywhere- Frenchman, French Quarter... Bar next door is fun. So close yet you don’t hear anything from the bedrooms at night. Lovely place. Comfortable beds. Owner is very responsive, professional, was flexible with an early check in, and loves her city. Perfect for two couples. Would definitely rent again!

great place to stay in New Orleans

We really liked this house for its authentic New Orleans flavor. It was very comfortable, clean and well cared for. The location is within a few minutes walk of the French Quarter. The street can be very noisy on weekend nights as there is a popular bar a few doors down, but this is only noticeable in the front rooms while the bedrooms, which are in the back of the house, are very quiet. We really appreciated the availability of a computer and printer when we were searching for a tour. The owner was readily available if we had a question, and we had no problems with the house. All in all, this house is a great choice for a NOLA vacation.

Great location, beautiful home!

I cannot say enough how much we loved staying at this wonderful home in the Marigny. I have been to New Orleans 6 times now and have always stayed in small inns and hotels, which of course are lovely, but I will not go back to that now that I have stayed here. The location was perfect given short 2 minute walk into the French Quarter, but also, having the fantastic food and music available on Frenchman Street also a short walk away. The house was so comfortable and peaceful with warm décor that I felt like I was literally coming home at the end of long days touring. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anyone and will look to stay here again when I go back. :) Thanks for everything Pam.

Wonderful home in a great location

We did a couples trip to the French Quarter area. This was a beautiful house in close proximity to everything there is to see. We were able to walk everywhere and were very pleased with the cleaniness/amenities of this home. Pam was wonderful to work with and we can’t wait to visit again!

Location! Great experience!!

This home is charming, clean and set up wonderfully for two couples to share a weekend get away! We live Frenchman’s street and this is one block off it. Perfect location to get to everything. Neat neighborhood bar next door—-but not loud at all in house. We really enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back. Enjoy!

What an amazing home — and so close to everything we wanted

We loved this property! Absolutely perfect for our group of 4 and so close to Frenchman Street and the French Quarter. We loved the historic charm of the home and the thoughtful appointments throughout. The surrounding neighborhood was great. We also loved working with Pam — who thought of everything we needed for our stay. We highly recommend the Jazzy Sweet Spot for anyone visiting New Orleans.

Great fun location to enjoy NOLA!

First, Pam is a great communicator and made us feel very welcome. Second, the location was perfect for our group of four attending the jazz fest. It is in a nice neighborhood and close to everything but not too close to rambunctious activities. It is next door to a great neighborhood bar, which we enjoyed immensely, but the noise is not a factor when inside the living space. The apartment itself is styled very nicely, has everything we needed. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom which is very nice for 2 couples. Backyard small patio to soak up morning sun. We loved hanging out in the apartment itself between activities. We cannot recommend enough. We will definitely be planning on return visit!

A lovely N.O. apartment with an incredible location. Highly recommended!

Simply put, we plan to rent this apartment again. It was clean, orderly, lovingly put together and perfect for two couples. As you can see from the pictures, it is exactly what you'd expect an apartment in a historic building to be; it has high ceilings, beautiful old wood floors and tall windows in the living room. It also has two modern, clean bathrooms, a small up to date kitchen, truly comfortable beds and air conditioning. And the bedrooms are quiet. . One of the best aspects of this apartment is its location. It is one block from Esplanade Ave., one of the streets that borders the French Quarter. From the front door, you make a right, walk 60 feet and take another right onto Royal. In around six blocks you are in the heart of the French Quarter. If you do not turn onto Royal, go straight and you'll come to Frenchman St. in a block or two. It is the best new place for music and partying. If you want to go to another location in town, I recommend Uber and the streetcar on St. Charles, the best way to see the Garden District. I always like to know the layout. Basically, this is a shotgun house, so there's little space between buildings on each side. That means the interior rooms have little natural light. However the front living room and the back bedroom have plenty of natural light, so our group had no problem with the layout. The living room has large windows that look onto the street The next room from the street is the dining room, from which you enter the middle bedroom, kitchen and hallway to the back bedroom In the dining room, to the left of the large wall piece is the door to the middle bedroom. We slept there because it has a bathroom with a tub. On the left wall of the dining room are the kitchen and the entrance to the hallway for the second bedroom. This back bedroom has a bathroom with a large shower. Lastly, there is a small grocery two blocks away on Esplanade that's open late and, if you go a block or two further, there's Buffa's with great music and no cover. The regular Thursday evening due--clarinet and piano--is as good at it gets. I cannot wait to get back.

Great place!

We were there for a long Easter weekend, and really enjoyed this property. While the bar next door could get a little loud, it really only affected us in the front room. The bedrooms are at the back and far enough from the noise that it was not a problem for us at all. I would imagine that you wouldn't be able to escape noise anywhere in the FQ, and this was only a block away! Pam was very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks, Pam!!

Great Place To Stay in New Orleans

This is a great location for visiting NOLA. House is in a residential neighborhood, but very close to the activities on Frenchmen Street and the French Quarter. Perfect size for 2 couples. House is very clean and well-furnished including a stocked coffee station. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals.

High on jazzy sweet spot

Wonderful setting. Great set up for two couples. Comfortable, well provisioned. Need a pot scrubber. Otherwise, great. We were there pre-mardi gras and arrived on Super Bowl Sunday so neighborhood was a buzz. Sometimes noisy but no problems. Thanks.

To be true it’s 4.5 stars.

Truly a Sweet Spot. Very comfy, everything we needed, super location for walking about day and night, and wow re the fabric art in the dining area. We arrived to 21 degree F weather and broken pipes all over the city. Can’t speak highly enough about the owner’s response/ability to get the issue resolved quickly when nearly the whole city was in need. Definitely recommend.

A delight.

We feel so lucky that we got to stay at Pam's beautiful apartment. The apartment itself was so charming and welcoming, and definitely a part of our whole New Orleans experience--even relaxing at "home," we still very much felt like we were soaking up the atmosphere of the city. Pam was super-responsive, thoughtful, and helpful, and the location is phenomenal--some of the best music in the city is right around the corner, and the friendly bar down the street was a wonderful addition to our stay. A real gem.

Charming, beautiful, great location, and clean

Pam's place is SO lovely. How often do you get to stay somewhere in a 170-year-old house? The location is really great, especially if you want to see lots of live music on Frenchman Street during your visit. Both bedrooms have an ensuite bathroom, which makes staying here with two couples so much more pleasant for everyone, and we loved the house so much it was hard to leave and go exploring sometimes!

Amazing spot, amazing time in New Orleans!

Had such an amazing time in New Orleans - and the house was so authentic to the city...perfect location to easily go between the French Quarter and Frenchman Street! Couldn't have asked for a better spot. Pam was an excellent host on top of it - checked in when we arrived to make sure everything was in order and made sure we had a pleasant stay at the end. Everything was perfect - but always comforting to know she was available if needed. Will book again when visiting NOLA!

Host profile image
New Orleans has been a part of me from the first time I visited. I love great food, music and football so its a natural fit. I was so fortunate and excited to have found this home that I decided to share it with others when I wasn't there. Its called the Big Easy for a reason. No worries. I have meet some really cool people and have really enjoyed listening to people describe their time in NOLA. Gotta love the Saints for better or worse. Been going since I was a kid. WHO DAT!!! Laissez les bons temps rouler!!!!

Why they chose this property

When this property became available I was so excited at the possibility of having a place in NOLA and being in this location made it even better. It was one of those things that just fell into place. It was such a fun project. You couldn't pick on a map a better location. It's amazing to me every time I walk out the door. Steps away from the French Quarter and Frenchmen but still has a cool neighborhood feel .

What makes this property unique

Of course the location is prime but in addition, the history of the house, the red pine floors and tall ceilings like made it feel like home when I was searching for a property. The original fireplaces (although decorative now) are beautiful and add to the charm of the home. And most important, LOCATION, LOCATION,LOCATION!
