Makes an ideal base for exploring Pembrokeshire.
Well equipped kitchen that made self catering straight forward.
Good sized rooms that easily accommodated 4 adults.
Heating works well and plenty of hot water.
When the sun shines the garden is a sun trap.

Hi Liz
Thanks for leaving us a review, we really appreciated it.
The garden of the farmhouse is definitely a lovely place to while away afternoons in the sunshine!

Beautifully quiet farmhouse - equipped with everything we needed- October and we were lucky enough to have breakfast outside and sit in the evening by the firepit.
Enjoyed good walks and followed path to Solva. WiFi was good and small things like quality of linen and a hand towel in each bathroom along with a decent number of pans and glassware make the stay more comfortable.
It's an old farmhouse that still has bags of charm and features but also has good bathrooms and enough storage.
Garden is enclosed for dogs.
Owners friendly and helpful if you need help but discreet- we sincerely hope that the current situation does not go on for too long and this lovely spot and good business keeps going!

A large and peacefully situated property, well equipped and comfortable, it is well placed for walking the Wales Coast Path. The dogs loved it as well, having the adjacent fields to play in (whilst no livestock was in them!). There is plenty of room for parking. The owners are accessible, friendly and helpful, but not intrusive.

We booked this lovely Grade 2 listed farmhouse last minute when it became available due to a Covid related cancellation. Gareth was a fantastic host-getting us sorted quickly with info, around if you needed him, but left us alone otherwise. Lovely house in a stunning part of Pembrokeshire, near to gorgeous fishing villages and beaches and St David’s.
Short drive to Newgale’s glorious sands and surf as well as Solva. Beautiful. Well equipped house with all mod cons but pretty, quaint and cosy too. Comfy beds, lovely modern bathrooms, sweet garden/orchard, peaceful surroundings.
We will likely be back if we can find a slot free. 😊

Peaceful, well appointed and rustic.
We had a very restful stay in rustic and very well appointed accommodation. On arrival there was a bottle of prosecco and a slab of bara brith waiting for us which was a nice touch. The house was spacious and the beds comfy. It was convenient for the nearby sea cliffs which is what we were principally there for, being climbers. Gareth the owner made us feel very welcome. Recommended.

About the host
Hosted by Gareth and Luci Chapman
We are Gareth, Luci and Lola, the dog. We moved from Oxford where Gareth ran his own building company and Luci worked in events. We moved here looking for an easier pace of life, in a part Wales we loved, and knew well, having holidayed here for many years. After searching for a few years we fell in love with Fynnonddewi and it's lovely rural location the moment we saw it and just knew it was the place for us.
We have only been here since November 2017, and are constantly upgrading to make your stay even more special. We are always on hand to help whether it be issues with the cottage or information about the local area, and look forward to welcoming you to this lovely part of Pembrokeshire.
If your dates are not available please do contact us by following the "ask owner a question" link, we may still be able to help. We very much look forward to hearing from you and welcome any questions about the property.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with natural beauty of North Pembrokeshire and the variety of things to do. There are peaceful walks, along the coast path or the Preseli Hills, or for the more active, coasteering, sea kayaking, or surfing. There are beaches galore, many of which allow dogs or have a dog friendly area. The choice is yours whether it's building sandcastles or exploring rockpools and many can be deserted even in the height of summer. There is wildlife all around whether it be seals, dolphins or those at the Folly Farm zoo. Pembrokeshire is a birdwatchers paradise with the islands of Skomer and Skokholm being some of the most important seabird breeding sites in Europe. We have our own share of wildlife on site too with foxes, badgers and rabbits. Autumn and winter sees large flocks of ducks on our pond, along with large flocks of lapwings in the neighbouring fields, buzzards and red kite are often seen overhead and barn, tawny and little owls hunt alongside bats at night.
What makes this property unique
We are set in rural surroundings just a couple of minutes from Solva, surrounded by 12 acres of our own land and many more beyond that. We are directly about 1.5 miles from the coast which is easily accessible via a footpath direct from the property. The nearest road is several hundred yards away so there is no need to worry about children and traffic.
Activities can also be arranged either at the property or elsewhere or we can provide a team of caterers, should the chef of the group fancy a night off.
We also offer a discount for whole weeks booked outside of the school holidays, which is automatically applied on checkout.
