INTIMATE VILLA WITH POOL MINUTES TO TAMARINDO AND 8 UNIQUELY AMAZING BEACHES

Welcome to our Costa Rican Villa retreat. We are located approximately 10 minutes North of Tamarindo which is a bustling surf town, where you and your family can enjoy many beachfront Restaurants, Shops, Spa's and a fun night life. We are a short easy drive or UBER to more than 8 of the best beaches along the "Gold Coast" of Guanacaste. Great for Surfing, Snorkeling, Kayaking, Paddle boarding or just relaxing. We had the fortunate option to purchase anywhere around Tamarindo and chose this area because we love the town of Tamarindo and all of the hustle and bustle but we didn't want to live in the middle of it. We preferred living in a quiet central location with a short and easy drive to all of the amazing beaches and activities. When you stay at our Villa, you will also get Dominic, he can be your personal concierge while in Costa Rica. Dominic speaks several languages and has extensive local contacts for rental cars, Volcano adventures, fishing & Sailing boats, surfing lessons and virtually anything else you need or might want to do. Dominic has saved our guest hundreds of dollars when booking excursions. Our goal is to make this trip as memorable and as safe possible. Perfect for couples, small families or a few close friends. Dipping pool with Ranchetta for additional space to chill. Public transportation directly in front of our villa including UBER now, available should you decide not to rent a vehicle. Beautiful Property

This was a wonderful stay, the property had absolutely everything we as a family needed to enjoy our vacation, Daniel was such a pleasure to meet, we loved Pantera visits, the property is close to everything - gas station, grocery stores, Tamarindo is about 10 min away max, pool is very nice too, with iguanas visiting all the time, we loved the stay , highly recommend, thank you!!!

We loved our stay. The house was amazing and we loved the pool with the resident iguana. Fonz took a lot of time to talk to us about local recommendations from things to do, to places to eat. I really appreciated his availability. Dominic and Maria were super helpful too! A great place to stay!!!

Spectacular

Place was awesome and just a short drive to many awesome beaches. Far enough away from town where we felt like we were experiencing the Costa Rican jungle. Pool and deck spaces were swesome. .

Amazing stay near Tamarindo

Casa Castaway was a fantastic place to stay in Costa Rica. The pool and patio were inviting. The vibe of the house is a so cool between the surfboard decor and local art. The house is well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. The location is close to many awesome beaches. We’d love to come back again.

This is such a unique and cute property. Pool is clean and refreshing. Home is stocked with everything you need. Many beaches in all different directions. The most comfortable beds and pillows. A great stay !

It has it all!

Our stay at Casa Castaway was terrific! This house has everything you think you may have left at home and more. We used the kitchen and the grill and spent a lot of time in the pool. The dog who lives on the property was so friendly and we enjoyed seeing him every morning. This place is private but is also close to it all.

Monkey Paradise

We loved our stay at Casa Castaway. Our favorite part was the space in the home for 3 adults and 3 BIG KIDS:):) We got to see the monkeys during the am and pm moving their families down the creek. This was a very peaceful location far enough away from Tamarindo beach to enjoy without the large crowd. We look forward to staying here again.

Great spot to relax

Loved this place! The mattresses were so comfortable - we fell asleep as soon as our head hit the pillow. We loved eating breakfast outside in the mornings before we started our day and dinner after we came off the beach. Would def recommend. Dominic was a great source of info on beaches and activities!

Great location, house, manager and vacation!

Our family of 5 had s great time staying here for our vacation! We explored 6 local beaches, all area towns and took a chocolate class, ventured to animal sanctuary and enjoyed a sailing afternoon! House was fabulous for our three older children and my husband and I! I even discovered back roads steps away to enjoy morning runs while the rest slept in!!

Awesome but never enough time

Great surfing, great food, Casa Castaway is a perfect house in a perfect location you can be everywhere that’s fun in less than 15 min. Highly recommend to rent a car so you can experience all of CR and not just the tourist areas.

Great Spot in Tamarindo

This house is great! Bedrooms are comfortable, the outside dining area is great for grilling the fish you caught the same day, and the kitchen is well set up for making a nice meal. The best part may have been Pantera! Wonderful pup came to visit up both morning and evenings; quite but very happy to see us and get scratches. Super fun.

Great family vacation!!

Casa Castaway is a lovely, well-equipped, comfortable, and well-maintained house, attended by hosts Dominic and Maria. The yard is full of tropical plants and flowers, and many birds!! Our family enjoyed walking in the local neighborhood, and visiting many of the local beaches and villages. We also spent a fair amount of time relaxing on the upper terrace in the tropical breezes.

The Perfect Home Away From Home

We had a fantastic stay at this lovely property! The location is perfectly located and just a $10-$15 Uber ride to various towns and beautiful beaches. It’s also right next to Guanacaste Children's Community Center, which was a big plus for our young kids! The house itself was wonderful! We particularly enjoyed the outdoor shower and the nice lounge area by the pool, which was ideal for relaxing and catching up on naps. The daily pool service was a great touch, keeping everything clean and inviting. We were delighted by the abundance of wildlife around the property, which added a special charm to our stay. The fully stocked kitchen made it easy to cook meals at home. Multiple surfboards, snorkel sets, and beach necessities made our days at the beach feel like we were locals. The property literally comes with everything you could ever need for a home away from home. Dominic and Maria were such a delight and provided us with plenty of recommendations for local dining and activities. Their hospitality truly enhanced our experience. We felt well taken care of and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique, equipped, and convenient rental!

Very nice property with a few problems and a bit expensive.

The property was spacious and comfortable. Dominic was very helpful, and we loved Panterra. There were some maintenance issues, some of which were fixed quickly. The property is not in the most convenient location, and is rather expensive. Much better than staying in the crazy zoo of Tamarindo. Overall, we liked the property.

Amazing home that’s close to everything!

Our family absolutely loved Casa Castaway! We visited 6 different beaches in 5 days and loved every second! Our 2 teenage daughters loved having their own bathroom and space, and the 3 outdoor decks were both super for dining and relaxing! The home is close to the supermarket with made cooking and packing sandwiches and snacks for the beaches a breeze. Dominic is the secret sauce to this property, visiting daily to help arrange activities including a lovely sunset cruise, beach horseback riding and snorkeling! The dining options close by in both Huacas and Tamarindo were fantastic. This is our 2nd time to Casa Castaway and we are already planning our next trip back!

Wonderful House

The property is as beautiful as the photos suggest. It frankly was much more accommodating than we were expecting. This is our first trip to Costa Rica and we were not sure what to expect. We had a wonderful trip filled with ziplining, scuba diving, snorkeling, and surfing! We found all of these activities were within minutes of Casa Castaway. Both Alfons and Dominic were excellent communicators and let us know exactly what to expect. They gave us great advice on finding the best places to go. We will definitely be back!

Best house we’ve stayed EVER.

If you're searching for the perfect Costa Rica home base, look no further. Our family of six (43, 42, 16, 13, 13 and 13) were blown away by this property and it was one of the many highlights of the our first trip to Costa Rica. The property is perfect. Communication between the owner and property manager, Dominic, was outstanding. Dominic is so welcoming and his dog, Pantera, was our girls friend for 9 days. Our family felt this was our favorite vacation ever and the best house we've ever rented. We are thankful for the hospitality and cannot wait to return! 6 stars!

Such a great place to call home while in Costa Rica!

My husband and I had the privilege of staying in Casa Castaway for a week in March and it was wonderful! From the friendly (and nearby) property manager Dominic and his dog Pantera to the monkeys that howled us awake each morning, Casa Castaway had it all! Coolers, beach towels, surfboards, boogie boards and a fully stocked kitchen, and only minutes to the heart of Tamarindo and multiple beaches. We would recommend staying here to any and everyone who will be in the area. Also, Al and Kristi are great to work with - they take pride in their property and it shows. Do yourself a favor and stay here on your next vacation to Costa Rica! Pura Vida, amigos! :)

Why they chose this property

We had the option to purchase anywhere around Tamarindo and chose this area because we love the town of Tamarindo and all of the hustle and bustle but we didn't want to live in the middle of it. We preferred living in a central location with a short and easy drive to all of the amazing beaches and activities. We wanted to be close to the private schools and close to shopping in addition to being close to all of the amazing beaches.

What makes this property unique

A quiet and centralized location to many different beaches and activities. From our door step you can see monkeys, flocks of parrots and parakeets, iguanas and at night, fire flies.
