About this property
Stunning large house overlooking Fethard Harbour with picturesque views
This is a family house and therefore we do not take adult only groups.
The Old Quay House is an exciting restoration of this magnificent historic period house situated on the harbour in the delightful village of Fethard on Sea.
With the beach just a few feet from the front door, this superb property has three separate balconies which overlook the headland, harbour and the entire panorama of Bannow Bay and beyond to Kilmore Quay. The dining room and many of the bedrooms also have similar views.
It is ideal for extended or multi-family holidays and is perfect for groups or societies trips as it can comfortably sleep 16. It has six bedrooms, 5 ensuite, and a separate upstairs lounge with a double bed and settee which can be used as a further private bedroom.
The generous open plan lounge, dining room, and spacious kitchen area are surrounded with panoramic windows overlooking the extensive gardens, patio terrace, harbour and headland.
The ground floor has 3 bedrooms, a large games room with pool table and a separate table tennis table. It also includes a step machine and exercise bicycle again with views of the harbour and beyond. There is also the opportunity to make use of the ample outside area for al fresco dining, recreation, etc. There is parking for four cars in the private driveway adjoining the house and further parking at the top of the east entrance. There is space for a boat and trailer if needed.
The village centre is a short walk from the house. Fethard on Sea is a wonderful village on the famous Hook Peninsula with all amenities. There you will find pubs, shops, a chemist, Chinese restaurant, cafes, and tourist information office. Stop by Neville's award-winning Pub Restaurant to sample their superb food or visit the spiritual clairvoyant practice. If you have a love of the outdoors, you can hire a kayak, pop into the Surf Shop, or visit the Coasteering Centre for the ultimate Irish experience.
Fethard is two hours traveling from Dublin and half an hour from Waterford and the Hook Peninsula area welcomes visitors from throughout the civilised world and Australia to enjoy its famous coast. With 14 Beaches (one for every day of the Holiday) we boast the most annual sunshine in Ireland. As mentioned at the beginning, this is a family house and is strictly for families only.

About the host
Hosted by Sheena

Hi, Sheena here,
My husband am I are a semi retired couple with a cottage on Quay Road Fethard. We fulfilled a long held ambition to purchase the historic old Quay House by the harbour and have spent the last year having it tastefully restored to a high standard by local craftsmen. We spend some of our time in Scotland on business but usually ourselves or colleagues are on hand. We will ultimately retire to the Quay House but meanwhile we are delighted to have guest enjoy one of the finest locations in Ireland for lovers of seaside, coast, and harbours.
