There are many first class local pubs in the area for eating out. Activities include coastal walks, golf, tennis, sailing, bird watching and shopping in Burnham Market, as well as Houghton, Holkham and Sandringham.

What a gem of a place!

Our stay at the Old Stables made our first visit to Norfolk a memorable one. The hosts are one in a million with everything thought of & taken care of. The place is well maintained, spacious, delightfully sunny, clean, comfortable, well placed for day trips and like a home from home. When we return to Norfolk, we'd love to stay here again. The hosts are the warmest people who take every effort to make people staying at their place comfortable. They are at hand to help with things or information you may need. We can not recommend it highly enough.

Great place to stay for many reasons

The communication and lead up to arriving from the owners was brilliant, and nothing was too much trouble. Upon arrival, The Old Stables was really clean, tidy and was the perfect place for me and my family to stay and explore Norfolk. Docking is ideally situated to explore many of the beaches and the owners gave us some great ideas on places to visit while we were there. We had a great stay here and will definitely be back in the future!

The Old Stables

Lovely cottage, comfortable, clean and in a good location. The owners were very welcoming and helped to ensure we had a great break in North Norfolk.
