Provided different info for wifi and check-in but cabin was very charming, cozy, great views. There were hunters in blaze orange walking near which startled kids. Forgot a jacket after check-out and it was very difficult to coordinate a solid pick-up with delayed responses with host, it was eventually abandoned.

Nice Family Getaway

Having the ski hill, woods, waterfall and hiking trails close to us was what we wanted, the location was perfect. We were happy to enjoy peace and privacy you can’t get at a resort and hope to return this year. Our host was responsive prior to our stay, the cabin is very nice and had everything we needed to prepare meals, the view was beautiful.

Relaxing Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at Little Bear Lodge. It was a great place to relax and recharge. We weren’t able to spend as much time outside as we would have liked due to mosquitos this time of year all over the region, so it was nice to have the space to read/cook/play cards.

exactly as expected

Fantastic stay at a fabulous place. I booked this place as a long ski weekend for a total of three couples. The space was a little small but you don't come to Lutsen to stay indoors. There was enough space for all three of us to have some privacy and two complete bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware, and table service or all six of us to sit down to eat at the same time. We had to move stools from the breakfast bar to a table designed for 4 but it worked well enough.

Delightful base for North Shore vacation

We loved our time at the secluded Little Bear Lodge. We spent our weekend hiking to waterfalls, visiting state parks, canoeing in Boundary Waters, and spending precious time with our daughter who lives in MN. It was a perfect weekend. The cabin was clean, comfortable and hosts were easy to communicate with when needed. Thank you.We want to come back.

Very nice combination of rustic and modern.

This is a comfortable clean property with nice extra amenities such as a bluetooth speaker system and cozy gas fireplace in the living area. The kitchen is fully functional. The view can't be beat. It's only a couple minutes from Lutsen Mountains. Overall, we were very satisfied.

Little Bear Captures Spirit of the North Shore

This is a repeat visit for us.The cabin is of unique design with extensive use of hand hewn wood throughout. The upper level deck off the main bedroom provides a treetop view of the lake and at night a stunning view of the stars. The location is excellent , especially if you appreciate the solitude of the surrounding forest, yet close to all the activities this area affords. Given the dramatic increase in cost of rentals since the pandemic Liitle Bear remains a great value for those whom wish to experience the many pleasures of this area. The owners are extremely attentive to every detail and exemplify the most desirable qualities of the good host.Highly recommend.

Superior spring trail race

My son was running a 50K and I couldn’t find accommodations at the lodge that the race was using for the event. We found this house and it turned out to be perfect. It was minutes away from the event and also we got to escape the crowds and has relaxing quiet time. The area was beautiful with plenty of food options, water falls and a gondola ride! If he ever runs this race again I will reach out to this property again. Had all you needed except a tv which I liked but my two grown sons would have liked to watch a movie—especially after running just under 32 miles😀 Everything was there that you would need as far as a kitchen even though we ate out. Beds were comfortable but I am glad it was just the three of us as it would have been too crowded to have all 6 of us. Highly recommend and I KNOW it must be beautiful in the fall!

MN winter had the upper hand

The coldest day of the winter thus far was the day we checked in, a high of 8 below zero. When we checked in the cabin was freezing. The thermostat read 54 degrees, with an unwelcome "Do not adjust" taped instruction on the front. Evidently, the thermostat is controlled remotely? We turned on the fireplace but with plummeting temps outside, it was a slow warm up, and upon going to bed we felt we had to turn the fireplace off, and the temps plummeted again. I've been warmer camping.Pipes in kitchen and upstairs bathroom were frozen for about the first 30 hours we were there. My son had a part time job of working on getting the pipes open.To say this is a three bedroom is generous. One of the "bedrooms" is a bed on the side of the stairway on the way to the upper bedroom, just enough room for the bed but not much more. And the bathroom upstairs really qualifies as a half, as it is very small.

Wonderful cabin that has what you need. It's in a secluded wooded area that was perfect for viewing the night sky. Also, very close to Lutsen Mountain, making it a quick drive to experience the Summit Gondola and Alpine Slide. If you're a golfer...make sure to book a tee time at Superior National. So much to see and do. Will definitely plan another stay!

We loved staying at Little Bear Lodge. We had 2 couples and enjoyed each having our own space for sleeping, but also ample space to hang out together. The kitchen was well stocked and the location was great. We enjoyed being able to see Lake Superior and lots of trees...a highlight was seeing a rainbow over the lake one afternoon. I would consider staying here again.
