Enclosed garden and elevated patio with garden furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. This truly charming Grade II listed cottage, with a thatched roof, open beams and low ceilings, offers very good quality holiday accommodation within a cosy, comfortable atmosphere. Enjoying a delightful garden on three levels, with deck, it is just 1½ miles from Launceston’s ancient castle, golf course and steam railway. A good location for exploring, within easy reach of both coasts. Shop 1¼ miles and pub within 1 mile.

Traumhaftes Cottage zum Ausspannen!

Traumhaftes Cottage mit wunderschönem Garten in der Nähe von Launceston, abseits vom (Massen)-Tourismus. Wir haben uns die beiden Wochen sehr wohl gefühlt und konnten vor allen den Garten bei herrlichem Wetter genießen. Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend und hatten uns schon im Vorfeld mit vielen hilfreichen Tipps versorgt. Die Ausstattung lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig; über Geschirrspülmaschine, Waschmaschine bis hin zum Staubsauger ist alles vorhanden! Empfehlenswert ist auf jeden Fall ein Auto, um von hier die umliegenden Sehenswürdigkeiten ansteuern zu können. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen!

Great cottage with loads of character (including low beamed ceilings). Pity about the reduced equipment available (but understandable for covid safety). Garden is amazing and the use of the BBQ was great. Needed the car (specific parking for 2 cars opposite), but is well situated for access to North and South coastal towns. Absolutely loved Thatch Cottage! It was warm and cosy and slept so well most nights.

Absolutely loved Thatch Cottage! It was warm and cosy and slept so well most nights. The cottage was a perfect place to make your base and see Cornwall. Exceptionally nice neighbours in the bungalow across the way, who recommended places to eat. Shower room upstairs could possibly do with a bit of updating and if this was done the cottage goes from lovely to stunning and maybe a new washing machine cos the door is broken and a bit rusty and maybe one with a tumble dryer and that way no damp towels hanging about the place and maybe you need to think about a welcome pack as after a long drive the last thing you want to do us try to find somewhere to get milk for tea and a little biscuit or something but thats my opinion. Also found rubbish uplift a bit confusing we were not sure where to put the bins(as I think others were cos we found 2 bins bags in the bin that had not been lifted by the bin men) nor were we sure what do do with the recycling. Having said all the we would go back to Thatch Cottage in a heartbeat!
