We had a lovely time at Nell's Cottage.

We had a lovely time at Nell's Cottage. As my husband is a transplant patient we were looking for a place to continue shielding from Covid19 and this was absolutely perfect. Tesco delivery to the cottage was no problem at all (used Park Cottage name on the delivery and arranged in day-light hours). The owners were worried but I had already booked it and we had no alternative. Was glad it went without a hitch. Small kitchen but and well equipt, everything worked, a good oven and decent size fridge/freezer for a week. Nice and warm on a couple of cooler days. Generally, a very good clean standard but lots of spiders so more effort on this would have been appreciated (a big nest behind the bed) but solved with vacuuming and being vigilant. No experience of pubs, takeaways etc but the walking and sense of escape back to nature was just what we had in mind. We noticed plenty of petrol stations, shops, supermarkets in easy reach. Will hopefully return to Nells! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing two weeks at Nell's Cottage.

My wife and I enjoyed a very relaxing two weeks at Nell's Cottage. The accommodation is extremely comfortable and homely. The beautifully maintained gardens and view add to the feel of a home-away-from-home. The conservatory acts as a sun room and dining room taking full advantage of the views, the lounge is well furnished, the kitchen, although quite small, has all the appliances and storage two people would need, the bedroom has plenty of storage and a very large comfortable bed, and the bathroom has a large modern walk-in shower with plenty of piping hot water. The hosts are very welcoming and live next door so are easily accessible in the event of any questions or problems. The property is at the end of quite a long winding country road so the location is very quiet. Dalton-in-Furness is a seven minute drive away, and Ulverston around 15 minutes, both have a good choice of shops, restaurants etc. We particularly enjoyed Hartleys restaurant in Dalton. All-in-all a great choice for two people looking for a quiet, restful stay with easy access to the Lakes and seashore of the area.
