Nestled along a quaint split level ginnel (6 steps upto Cobweb Cottage on the upper level) containing 5 cottages in the heart of Whitby is this terraced holiday cottage oozing charm and character. A short stroll brings you to the colourful harbour almost protected by the abbey ruins and St Mary’s church. The cobbled streets are home to ancient fisherman’s cottages, inns, tea rooms, antique and curio shops. Whitby hosts the 60’s Festival, Folk Week, Regatta Week, the Beer Festival, and goth weekends. Join the ghost walk, visit the Captain James Cook Museum or board the steam train to Goathland and Grosmont. Golf, fishing and seagoing trips available. Shop, pub and restaurant 20 yards.

We go to Whitby alot and we have stayed in different cottages each time.We had a lovely time and the location was great; near to amenities but quiet at the cottage is in a gated area.The value for money is really good, cheap for a cottage in Whitby.Shower was great and the bedrooms were both nice. Kitchen looks new .Cleanlliness was not to my level but clean enough to cook and spend time in the cottage. Not sure we would go again but only because our dog is old and we were worried he would try and get up stairs and fall down them.

We have had the most wonderful stay in Whitby made special by the cosy cottage. It is well kitted out with all you need. Very clean. We loved the log fire and it was easy to get more logs from local shops. You don't need to bring any food really as there is a great selection of independent grocers/bakers/fishmongers/butchers at your doorstep. The mattresses were very comfortable and the central heating super efficient. Our children did not want to leave! Thank you Cobweb cottage for a memorable stay.
