Fantastic! Absolutely loved Falcon Crag. The cottage was superbly situated, just a very short walk from Keswick Main Street. Beautifully laid out, very spacious, but super cosy as well. Excellently equipped and very comfortable. The beds were really comfortable and the two bathrooms had an amazing supply of hot water and powerful shower. Really felt like a home from home, we thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there and we were sorry to leave; will definitely visit again, thank you.

Good location. The property is well equipped with appliances.
But: 1. glass top table outside of the property had one leg rotted off. The table was propped up as if it was useable. It fell to the side when we tried to use it. The glass top slid and it was a miracle that nobody got hurt. Clear health and safety issues.
2. The lower floor which is cellar basement converted to two bedrooms and bathrooms had constant smell of dampness despite vents working all the time. There were lots of small like fruit flies in the bathroom.
3. The property wasn't cleaned. Dust and dogs hair on the sofas whereas the guidance clearly says that the dogs should not be on the furniture. We have washed all sofa blankets and cushions covers in the first day of our stay.
I felt bad bringing kids there esp baby 10 months old. We only stayed for a week so did not bother contacting the manager.
I love Keswick but was disappointed with the place where we stayed.

This is a lovely property overall, however there are some negatives which if addressed would make this a superb property:
None of the beds had waterproof mattress protectors and as we stripped the beds we saw how stained the mattress toppers were underneath, really not pleasant at all, in fact quite disgusting!
And as for the overall cleanliness, well it was not to my standards!!! I spent the first evening removing numerous spiders. The floors needed a really good scrub, and the sofa covers upstairs and down were in need of a very good wash. Bearing in mind we were asked to arrive an hour later and leave an hour earlier, asked to strip all the beds and leave the bedding and all towels in bags, leave no sign of our pet (yes I did hoover) and leave the place clean and tidy I do wonder why the house was not immaculate when we arrived???!!! What did the cleaner do with all the extra time???!!!
The basement heating is set far too high, making it so hot it was hard for our daughter to sleep.
The wardrobe in the twin bedroom was unusable as the front leg was broken and even the slightest touch and the whole wardrobe wobbled so much we were worried it may topple over.
The property is in a fantastic location and is a really good size. A deep clean and a couple tweaks and it will be spot on.

An excellent property.
An excellent property. One of the few examples of the reality being even better than the photographs suggest. There were no negatives about Falcon Crag. Perhaps a suggestion for future guests would be to allow a little more freedom in relation to the under-floor heating in the downstairs of the house. It was too warm at first, even in late October, as the radiators afforded enough warmth.

Very nice cottage, spacious and clean, good quality fixtures and fitting.
Very nice cottage, spacious and clean, good quality fixtures and fitting. I would say the basement level does get very hot despite turning off the heating, I would suggest providing fans. Also there are no mirrors in the lower level bedrooms so a little inconvenient when trying to dry hair etc.

Great location and parking a real bonus.
Great location and parking a real bonus. Loads of room and everything you could want.
The property was as expected overall and was a comfortable place to stay. The weather was bad, mostly rainy and unfortunately the clattering noise of the rain on the aluminium steps was very loud making it difficult for those of us in the basement to sleep well. It is also worth noting that sitting out in the back is not an option if you have 2 vehicles.

+ Position
+ Recently renovated
+ 2 parking spaces off street
+ Bathroom to bedroom ratio
- Cleaning superficial. Dust under beds, behind furniture terrible - caused sneezing
- Underfloor heating should be advantage but set at 25C in some parts and took all week to cool down
- Equipment poor e.g 2/4 elements in toaster broken; chipped knives; damaged place matts; saucepans with metal handles that get burning hot etc
- Second car parks on terrasse so no outside area e.g. for BBQ
- No area for wet boots and coats

Beautifully decorated modern house.
Beautifully decorated modern house. Very comfortable but, unfortunately, didn't suit the elderly member of our party as the beds were a bit low and she had problems getting in and out. Nonetheless the accommodation is excellent.
