Have you always wanted to visit historic St Augustine, have a child attending Flagler College, planning to come to town to enjoy a show at The Amp or just want to relax on beautiful St Augustine Beach??? Looking forward to experiencing the Nights of Lights?? Answered yes to any of those - then this is the place to stay!

Island South Retreat is conveniently located for historic downtown explorers; Anastasia State Park visitors, St Augustine Beach goers, The Amp Concert patrons or Flagler college guests.

The condo includes an updated and friendly kitchen with stainless steel appliances with many small kitchen appliances stored in the cabinets. You can serve up a frothy hot coffee in the morning and enjoy a frosty margarita in the afternoon. The kitchen opens up to the spacious dining and living room. The unit boasts two bedrooms with two full baths and a separate walk-in laundry room. The master bedroom is furnished with a king -sized bed and the second bedroom has a queen-sized bed. There is a full-sized air mattress provided for additional sleeping arrangements for children. Both bedrooms and the living room include large sliding glass doors providing beautiful natural light. The living room and master bedroom both open up to the spacious and green lanai and pathway to the community pool (no hot tub) and walk-over to the beach.

The condo is located in the heart of St. Augustine Beach close to numerous local restaurants, the beach, volleyball courts, pickleball courts, fishing pier, historic downtown St. Augustine, St. Augustine Lighthouse, Anastasia State Park, The Amp concert venue, Flagler College, and many more exciting places.

Great beach getaway

Fantastic property that has everything you need for a beach getaway. This is the fourth time we've stayed in Bert and Lisa's place and have loved it every time. They go above and beyond to make it feel like home with all the perfect details to make your stay enjoyable. We've already booked again for next summer and can't wait to get back. We think of it as our home away from while in St. Augustine.

Perfect stay for graduation!

The condo was perfect for our four day stay in St. Aug to celebrate my daughter's graduation from Flagler College! Lisa was an incredible host, very responsive and accommodating, The unit had everything we needed and we loved the location, the grounds, the pool, and easy beach access!

Location Location Location

Wonderful location at St Augustine Beach. Condo was right on the beach and strip. All of the full time residents were so friendly. Loved the fact that we had 2 entrances. One from the parking area and one to our own lanai. Rooms were a little small but big enough. Overall we already have plans to stay again. The owners were easy to message and quick to respond. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Beach Getaway

Bert and Lisa’s property was extremely comfortable, east access to the beach, pool, and St. Augustine! We enjoyed walking to the beach, taking a dip in the pool and grabbing dinner and ice cream right down the street! Great communication and will definitely stay here again!

St Augustine Beach getaway

What a fabulous time we had staying at this condo in St Augustine Beach. The condo was beautiful, had everything we needed for our meals and was steps from the pool and beach! We golfed, saw the World Golf Hall of Fame and walked the streets of old town, then could come back to our lovely condo and relax on the patio. Thanks!

It was amazing!! Great location, close to downtown, and surrounding areas. The beach was not overcrowded and the water was so warm. We could not see the beach but we sure could hear the waves while sitting on the covered patio!! The condo was clean and cozy and the beds were very comfy. I would definitely recommend and return.

First timers Saint Augustine

First thing we noticed is the condo was clean. Also, the owner responded very quickly to let us know that we could check in. The condo complex is small which we liked. Not a lot of people . You can walk to many restaurants and stores from the complex . If you want to go to downtown Saint Augustine, it’s just a short drive. Best of all the beach is a short walk and we will definitely stay here again.

Need Better Mattresses

It's evident this is an income property. The condo is clean and neat. They need to DEFINITELY get better mattresses. They have very low quality, spongy foam mattresses that you sink into. This does not offer quality sleep. The couch wouldn't offer much better as it resembles that of my college years. If you want to cook, the cookware is pretty lame. My suggestion, if you want to get quality tenants here is to take a trip up to Costco in Jacksonville one day, buy a set of Kirkland pots and pans, a couple of new Mattresses (can be done on line and delivered too) providing toilet paper wouldn't be a bad move either and you'll have a more appealing product for the consumer. We didn't use any of the beach chairs or the like but that looked like it should be replaced also. Just making suggestions, not bashing your property. It has great potential to be a hot rental in St A if you just put some love into it. A little invested brings back a greater reward. Thanks for the stay in my favorite city.

The property is well stocked with all things needed. Very clean. Would definitely visit again and recommend to friends. Only suggestion is to move check out to noon. FYSA: toilet in the master bedroom had intermittent running. May want to check the flapper. There was a part of the blind lying on the stool in the bedroom. Photo below. It was left as found. Kitchen faucet has to be maneuvered to ensure it does not drip.

This property was absolutely perfect for a beach get away. All the amenities you need are provided. Pool access was also nice when you dont want to get sandy! The rooms were clean and the furniture cozy. Close to downtown Historical district of St. Augustine and many other attractions. Nothing like a drive down A1A!! I would definitely stay at this property again.

Lisa is a recently retired Program Specialist with the St Johns County School District for over 30 years. She spends her free time practicing yoga and Pilates , doing yardwork or enjoying beautiful St. Augustine Beach with her Brittany Spaniel, Izzy and Double Doodle, Bella. Bert and Lisa have four adult children and two grandsons. They enjoy traveling to Costa Rica, Hawaii, and Central America for the sun, surf, and relaxing atmosphere.
