The cottage is lovely and very clean.
The cottage is lovely and very clean. the owners have thought of every need. The area is wonderful to explore and I would highly recommend it to anyone. my only slight disappointment, completely out of the control of the owners and no reflection on them or the cottage, was that the local pub has now sadly closed and we were looking forward to walking to a local for an evening meal, although the pub up the road is planning to reopen in December. also the walk to the beach or the town is on very narrow or no pavements and as we have a dog it meant we couldn't really walk from the doorstep but took out the car.
having said that the fish and chip shop was very nice and there is a small local shop. the nearby walks and scenery are beautiful and the cottage proved to be an ideal base.

Staying at Ty Capel Seion was an absolute pleasure.
Staying at Ty Capel Seion was an absolute pleasure. The cottage was immaculate and very welcoming. I cannot praise the owners enough; unobtrusive, but there if we need them. The cottage has everything you will need and is extremely comfortable. We were blessed with fabulous weather and enjoyed both local walks and some coastal walking. However, be warned that the walk from Cardigan along the riverside to Cilgerran is not FLAT as the path goes through a gorge hence loads of ups and downs....hard work for my little legs, but worth it as we had a super lunch at the cafe in Cilgerran. Would I return to the area and stay at Ty Capel Seion? YES! Enjoy!

This is a very comfortable cottage and the owner made us feel very welcome - as did the village community generally. The kitchen is very sensibly equipped and has plenty of storage space. There are books of walks provided. St Dogmael's is a delightful and attractive village with everything you need: as a previous reviewer mentioned, don't bother going to a big supermarket in Cardigan on the way here. The mill (Y Felin) still functions, producing flour (which you can buy) and they also bake their own bread. There is an organic farm shop, Glebelands, en route from Cardigan; you can buy the freshest possible fish and shellfish from the fisherman in the village; there is a small Premier supermarket which has long opening hours and even stocks items such as Parmesan and quinoa; there is a Post Office; best of all, the weekly Local Producers' Market by the abbey (on a Tuesday morning).

Had a wonderful week, the owners were very helpful and friendly. The cottage was very clean and cozy. Location was perfect to explore the beaches near by and to go out for walks or bike with the children. We’ll definitely think of booking the same place again and would recommend to anyone interested in visiting the area.

Lovely cottage, comfy, right in centre of beautiful village, a mile's walk from Cardigan, has it's own chip shop, general store, ruined abbey with fab cafe and wonderful flour mill selling freshly made sourdough!
But enough about the environs, place looked like it's had a recent spruce up, lovely bed linen with matching curtains, up to date TV, wifi and pretty much all you'd need in the kitchen, including foil and cling film! Welcome package always appreciated, wine and crisps went down well!

A lovely, well equipped cottage in an ideal location for exploring the North Pembrokeshire/South Ceredigion regions.
The village is quiet but friendly, the wonderful River Teifi is literally a stones throw away and a dog friendly beach only a five minute drive.
Add to that a nice dog friendly pub on the river that serves nice food and you have all the ingredients for an excellent getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed our stay. Poppit sands was a highlight, our little dog just loved the beach.
We also enjoyed the nature reserve and the walk to Cilgerran, in the rain was even was enjoyable. Food and beer was really good and we can absolutely recommend the local micro brewery, Mantle. We found everyone very friendly, from the miller who sold bread to the local fish and chip shop and Post Office lady.
The Farmers market was also very good, selling some quality produce. Scotch eggs were very good!
So, I can whole heartedly recommend a stay in St Dogmaels

The cottage was brilliant, very high standard of cleanliness and very well equipped, top quality bedding, towels, untensils etc. Owners where close if any concerns ( there wasn’t any), lovely welcome from them, advised on best places to visit. The welcome pack is a pleasently surprisingly touch, different from other welcome packs we have had. The 13th century Abbey which is visible from the cottage is amazing.
