The retreat is a really nice place to get away to.

The retreat is a really nice place to get away to. Mainly the indoor heated pool was great. If you decide to book please take 20 to 30 £1 coins and 20p's if you're planning on playing pool in their games room. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Absolutely fantastic! We took our son and daughter, there partners and four grandchildren yet there

Absolutely fantastic! We took our son and daughter, there partners and four grandchildren yet there was so much space. And the highlight was the amazing swimming pool. We all used it twice a day and had so much fun watching the little ones improve their confidence in the water and their swimming strokes. The owners were really helpful with a couple of inconveniences (eg the fridge broke down but was fixed two days later and another one installed in the interim. Also a problem with one of the beds which was again replaced the very next day. Overall had a brilliant time and would highly recommend The Retreat..perfect for families or groups of mates, I'd say.

8/10 Good

The swimming pool was of a good size.

The swimming pool was of a good size. There was a large field for the children to run around. Most of the rooms were of a good size. Kitchen was well appointed with plenty of storage space. The layout was not really geared up for a toddler due to split levels on ground floor. There were no stair gates provided and no cot only a travel cot which again was too small for a one year old and no safety straps in the highchair. For future hirers, I used about £20 of electricity.
