We absolutely loved our stay at Woodside lodge.
We absolutely loved our stay at Woodside lodge. As a family of 5, living in the city and this being our first holiday of this kind as we usually go abroad or stay on a caravan site this was surreal! The views from the lodge are amazing. The walks are lovely, peaceful and beautiful.
We visited Elan valley for the day which was a 20minute drive, hired bikes and rode around the dams.
Our children aged 12, 9 & 4 absolutely loved this place. Nothing beats the great outdoors. Even on the one rainy day we had, we found a place called quackers which is an indoor play area, a 20 minute drive but the children were happy & the food is very nice there too.
As for pubs we didn’t explore these as we ate back at the lodge and enjoyed our evenings in the hot tub and playing board games.
The owners were very welcoming and gave information on which walks to do etc. They keep the hot tub clean and check it daily some days we didn’t even know they had been, The lodges are kept in fantastic condition the only issue we found was the double bed mattress was a bit too hard but this didn’t ruin our stay. Based on our week long stay and experience here I would recommend this place to anyone!
Living in the city and having a busy life this is the perfect holiday to enjoy some peace and quiet, explore and see some amazing sights that wales has!
Our children are keen to return and we will definitely book again!

Fantastic family holiday if you enjoy the country side and exploring. Then relaxing in the hot tub enjoying the views and watching the wildlife. We were with my daughter and son in law and 2 young grandchildren and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. The lodge is well equipped and very clean and the owners lovely and helpful.

Great place to chill and relax, me and my husband enjoyed taking afew days away from the madness and this place was perfect for that.
Only thing I would change is to have a shelter of some sort over the hot tub due to bad weather we didnt get much time out of it... The owner was really nice and helpful when our wifi didnt work...
