We had a wonderful holiday at Town Head.
We had a wonderful holiday at Town Head. The cottage was spacious, comfortable and fully equipped with a fabulous aga. We were able to relax and enjoy the views, walks and local animals on our doorstep. It is in a stunning setting and we felt off-grid, but with shops 15 minutes drive away and a good selection of local pubs. It is a perfect family destination and none of us wanted to leave

Spacious holiday house with lovely Dales view, ideal for 4-6.
The kitchen was very well equipped so great for keen cooks, including an Aga as well as an electric hob.
We didn't try the village pub so can't comment on that.

This was our second visit which speaks for itself.
This was our second visit which speaks for itself.
The down sides are the beds which need to be upgraded. The double bed definitely needs to be a king sized or good quality twins. The other beds are well past their best.
Unfortunately, or perhaps fortunately depending on how you look at it, the weather was surprisingly fine and hot. The permanent heat from the Aga made the house unbearably hot.
Opening windows without fly screens was not an option in this rural and cow friendly environment. We will visit again, but please fix the beds.
