Rose Cottage is a cosy and comfortable retreat. The property is full of charm and character and is set in beautiful surroundings, with far reaching views. It is in a quiet location, however it is only a short drive to local amenities and tourist spots.

We had a lovely week in beautiful Rose Cottage.
We had a lovely week in beautiful Rose Cottage. The cottage is extremely comfortable and thoughtfully decorated with everything we needed for our one weeks stay. We particularly loved the cosy outside terrace looking out over the pretty gardens and the great view of the sun setting from the upstairs window. Enjoyed also feeding carrots to the friendly ponies in the field next door. Great location for accessing the northern lakes. Isabel and Alan were very friendly and helpful. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.

We returned for a 3rd time.
We returned for a 3rd time. The cottage is beautifully presented, and the hosts are very welcoming. Very spacious for 2 of us. The location is fantastic if you like quiet and remote, with wonderful views in all directions including Skiddaw to the south. Keswick is about 12 miles away, and there are closer villages with pubs and tea shops. We'll be back.
