On road parking. No smoking.. This cosy cottage is tucked away in the quiet hamlet of Linton, within the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. Linton is one of the most picturesque villages in the Dales. After a busy day walking or cycling within the spectacular scenery of Wharfedale, relax in the reclining sofa or an easy chair in the living room or at the charming pub serving excellent food located on the village green with a crystal clear stream winding through, just a 50 yard stroll from the cottage. Historic almshouses and a chapel sit at one end of the green with beautiful Linton Church, falls and stepping stones a short walk away. The cottage is within walking distance of Grassington, with its individual country shops, pubs and restaurants – serving a wide range of cuisine from good pub grub to fine dining. Grassington is a vibrant village and plays host to the Summer Arts Festival, where famous singers, artists, and authors all perform. In winter, enter into the Christmas spirit and enjoy the Dickensian Festival, where history comes alive with a range of historical markets, entertainers and food. Skipton is the nearest main town, just 10 miles away. It plays host to a bustling market, and at the head of its broad sweeping, cobbled high street, stands an impressive Norman castle. Skipton offers canal cruises, golf and an indoor swimming pool together with a wide selection of shops. The National Trust site of Fountains Abbey and the historic city of York make for enjoyable days out. Shops, cafes and restaurants 2 miles (1 mile on foot), pub with restaurant and bar meals 50 yards.
