Situated in the small hamlet of Kilmelford, this detached holiday property is set in its own garden and makes an ideal base for touring the West Coast of Scotland. Surrounded by magnificent scenery, rugged glens and sea lochs, there are plenty of historic castles and beautiful gardens to explore. Kilmartin Glen is steeped in history and rich in archaeological and historical remains. The small villages of Ardfern and Craobh Haven offer some of the best marina facilities in Scotland. Sea-fari excursions from Seil Island, across the famous Atlantic Bridge, offer high adventure boat trips to the famous Corryvreckan Whirlpool. Nearby Oban, known as the seafood capital of Scotland, has a variety of shops, a leisure centre and a very good selection of restaurants. From Oban there are regular ferries to the Inner Isles, including Mull, Iona, Staffa, Kerrera and Lismore. The area is exceptional for wildlife watching and is a hot spot for porpoise, dolphins, minke whales and basking sharks. Bird watching highlights include sea eagles, golden eagles and puffins, wild otters, seals, and deer are also often seen. There are plenty of walks and outdoor activities with horse riding, fishing, cycling, golf and a variety of watersports to name but a few. Shop and café 20 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
