Five minutes’ walk from the seashore, this cosy, detached holiday cottage enjoys panoramic views of Macleod’s Tables to the east and the sea Loch Pooltiel to the west. A super area for mountain biking, climbing, kayaking, fishing and much, much more. Take a trip to Dunvegan Castle, the colourful island ‘capital’ of Portree, Talisker Distillery or travel to the south end of the island fondly called ‘The Garden of Skye’. Here you can visit Armadale Castle and Gardens or explore the unspoilt coastline and perhaps catch a glimpse of the vast array of wildlife. For the less energetic, just sit back and relax and watch the ever changing, stunning scenery from the cottage windows. Shops 1.5 miles, pubs 9 miles and restaurant 4 miles.

Décevant ! Maison sale et "vieillotte". A notre arrivée, l'état de propreté de la maison n'était pas convenable : poussière sur les meubles, poils de chiens, vaisselle et égouttoir sales, réfrigérateur sale, congélateur arrêté avec la porte fermée et de l'eau qui s'en échappe, tiroirs congélateur moisis, four et plats inutilisables à cause de la crasse. Nous avons donc commencé par une séance de nettoyage de la vaisselle et des endroits et meubles que nous devions utiliser. La cuvette des toilettes était mal fixée et au bout de quelques douches, la baignoire avait du mal à se vider. Par ailleurs les poubelles extérieures étaient pleines et aucune instruction pour les mettre à disposition des éboueurs nous ont été communiquées. Nous avons tenté de contacter le propriétaire par message mais il ne nous a jamais répondu. Nous avons prévenu la société gérante de la location qui était finalement notre seul interlocuteur. J'espère que depuis les choses se sont arrangées pour les locataires suivants mais j'en doute.Alors oui la maison est bien située et la vue de l'extérieur est très jolie (de l'intérieur ... les fenêtres sont petites) mais sur l'ile de Skye, tout est beau. Cette maison a un problème d'entretien et manque d'un bon rafraichissement de la vaisselle (totalement dépareillée) et des équipements. J'oubliais la vieille caravane déposée à l'entrée du terrain. Pour conclure, nous ne conseillons pas cette location dans son état actuel.
