This little house by the sea is a serene oasis with so many lovely little touches. It is ideally located right on the sea within east walking distance to pubs and restaurants.

Everything was amazing except the fact that the bath needs an anti slip mat in it. We mentioned this 2 years ago and had to buy one ourselves

Dear Sandy,
We're pleased that you enjoyed your stay.
I listened to your previous request for an antislip bath mat, purchased one, and put it in the bathroom, so I'm sorry to hear that you didn't find it. If you had asked at the time of your stay, I could have helped.
Apologies for this, but I do hope that you will return, and I will be sure to check that the mat is in sight.
Best wishes,
Marie & Steve
We had a fantastic week's stay at Sea Esta - so very comfortable, particularly the bed and towels!! It's excellent accommodation for a couple. We greatly enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking out to sea, watching the boats and enjoying the stunning views. The weather was incredible all week and we had some lovely walks from the house, particularly around Pagham Harbour - The Crab and Lobster is a must! Paddy's Plaice is also great for local fish and chips! All in all a fabulous week, so thank you very much for your hospitality Marie!

Excellent property and views (photo's do not do justice); especially from the balcony whilst enjoying the Potter's Shellfish platters where you can see the boats it came in on. Selsey Lifeboat well worth a visit - saw the launch a couple of times (hopefully no lost souls).Walked the seafront everyday in each direction. We visited a pleasant public house located behind the property but don't let that put you off, you wouldn't know.

We had a lovely stay at Sea Esta. The position is perfect with the beach and sea in front and the pub behind (we didn’t hear any noise from the pub). The promenade is great and we had a few morning and early evening walks. We can recommend the Crab and Lobster and also La Banca in the High Street. We also enjoyed a visit to Denmans Gardens and it’s definitely worth going to if you like that sort of thing. Sea Esta is small but it had everything we needed and we loved being able to sit on the balcony having a glass of wine (or two) watching the boats bobbing in the sea and the launch of the lifeboat.
In Selsey, the unique coastal town at the southernmost tip of West Sussex, lies the wonderful little vacation home "Sea Esta", which is as lovingly as it is practically furnished. From the terrace on the upper floor, you can look out over the fishing boats moored ashore directly onto the English Channel and find the inner peace you have been longing for as the waves rise and fall. The pretty little house offers everything you need and nothing is missing. The extremely nice landlords do everything they can to make their guests feel at home. We will be very happy to come back.

Living/kitchen area a bit smaller than we hoped but manageable just the same. If the owner focussed exclusively on the couples market space could be created by replacing the cumbersome sofa bed with a compact, two-seater settee and the heavy dining table with a lighter version suitable just for two.
Otherwise we were very happy with Sea-Esta. Great seafront view from the balcony which catches the sun from when it rises until well into the afternoon. Large bedroom with an extremely comfortable bed. A bonus was a television in both the living area AND the bedroom. Bathroom has a large bath as well as a power shower.
With one exception the location proved to be very peaceful and the pub immediately to the rear did not bother us at all; in fact it was ultra-convenient if you fancied a drink or good-value meal so the best of both worlds really. The one spoiler was the inconsiderate couple occupying one of the terraced houses across the road who allowed their two dogs to bark and yelp excessively from an open balcony.
Selsey boasts a clean and bathing-friendly beach and is conveniently-located for visiting further afield by car or train (from Chichester) – e.g. Brighton, Isle of Wight and New Forest. As a keen hillwalker it was great to be able to access the magnificent South Downs Way just 17 miles away.
If Vbro allowed I would rather score Sea-Esta 9 out of 10 but 4/5 is too low – so 5 it is!

Dear Ken,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review.
Sorry that you found the dining table heavy to move. It is on casters and doesn't usually cause a problem.
We find that guests enjoy relaxing on the sofa, rather perhaps squashing on a two seater.
I can only apologise for the inconsiderate people down the road, allowing their dogs to bark. We haven't seen them before, so hopefully, they were only staying short term.
We are pleased that on the whole you enjoyed your stay, and made good use of all that the area has to offer.
Best wishes,
Marie & Steve
The process of booking and checking in was smooth and efficient. The house is small but made up for with clever design thoughts. Views from balcony are stunning. Kitchen, house and bedroom well equipped.
Haven’t re looked at description, but along with others please point out no toilet etc on ground floor where bedroom is.
Herzlichen Dank!
We highly recommend this beautiful little cottage by the sea. A perfect base for a family to go and explore the area. You can cycle or walk to two parks, visit the RNLI and go crabbing in Dell Quay. Contact with the owners was excellent. Would definitely return.

I stayed here for 3 nights with my husband and 2 6 year old daughters. We had such a lovely relaxing seaside stay, the kids loved being so close to the beach collecting shells and walking by the sea.
Lovely change of scenery for us all. No problems with the house at all- they now want a balcony at home!!
Thank you 😊

Sea Esta is perfectly situated; for a walk along the shore; for a quick drive to another beach; within walking distance of the high street; while being lovely and peaceful. Highly recommended.

Property was located right next to pebble beach. Beautiful decor and everything was clean and practical. Local pub was only a couple of minutes away. Best beaches were at west wittering a short drive away. Also worth visiting Chichester.
Mostly ate at the property; all the cooking facilities were excellent.
Only one poor comment: bedroom needs to have a blind as the morning sun is very bright and wakes you up very early.

Response from VrboOwner on 22 March 2020
Dear Dorothy,
Thank you for your kind review, and for looking after our property.
We are so pleased that you enjoyed your stay, and made the most of the surrounding area.
We apologise for the morning sun waking you. We had hoped that the privacy screen would be sufficient, and would add to the seaside theme, however, we take your comment on board, and have ordered a blind for the bedroom.
We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future, when you will be able to check out the new blind.
Enjoy the rest of the school break.
Warm regards,
Marie & Steve
Sea Esta is a delightful place to stay in unspoilt Selsey, right by the East Beach, which happens to be one of my favourite places to swim. From the balcony you can watch the fishing boats going out in the early morning. The property has been carefully renovated and is light bright and fun to stay in. The kitchen was lovely and well fitted out. I am a cook and I found nearly everything I needed. Basics like tea, coffee, oil, milk etc. were thoughtfully provided to set us up. Downstairs the bedroom is very comfortable with good linen and the dressing gowns and slippers are a boon because the bathroom is upstairs. The bathroom is also very well designed with a good shower although you will need to bring your own hairdryer. Good blinds or a curtain in the bedroom would be an improvement and the property needs a better table and chair arrangement but I am sure that the owners will be sorting this out soon. We were staying with our teenage son who used the sofa bed upstairs which he didn’t find very comfortable so I would recommend this property for couples only. Altogether we had a very nice stay and especially enjoyed buying fresh fish and crab from the local fisherman.

Response from VrboOwner on 22 March 2020
Dear Georgina,
Thank you for taking the time to write your kind review.
We're so pleased that you enjoyed your stay.
Thank you for bringing the lack of a hairdryer to my attention, which I will replace, as we had previously equipped the house with one.
We had hoped that the privacy screen in the bedroom would suffice, as we feel it adds to the light and airy seaside feel, as opposed to curtains, which would minimize the view, and daylight.
As you correctly said, we are in the process of locating a suitable folding table, but I'm pleased that we were able to provide you with one for your needs.
We're sorry that your son found the sofa bed to be uncomfortable, and we will endeavour to make improvements on this.
We have taken onboard your comments, as we are looking to be the best that we possibly can be..
We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.
Kind regards,
Marie & Steve
It was beautiful , especially the view which is why we booked it but 1. the bedroom requires a proper black out curtain as the sun wakens guests up at 5am!!! 2. the upstairs room needs a small folding table to eat off 3. and a small round metal table to sit on the balcony where you can put a plate and cup etc

Dear Martin,
We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay.
It's very unfortunate, that you found that the privacy screen didn't block out enough light for you.
We are in the process of locating a folding table, compact enough for the space.
We take onboard your comment with regard to a table on the balcony, but fear that this would impede on the guest's comfort, however, once we have purchased a suitable folding table, that could be used if the guests so desired.
Kind regards,
Marie & Steve
