Basic but everything you need. The cottage is very small - the idea that 4 people could stay there for any length of time isn't realistic. But it is in a beautiful area, the view from the garden is magnificent (although there is now a fence by the seating area which makes it safer, but hides the view somewhat). It is basic, fairly comfortable but not cosy or romantic. There are loads of fantastic walks straight from the door and the 3 pubs in the village are all OK. There was also a pop-up Italian restaurant on Friday and Saturday in the Fountain bakery which was fab. I think a 9am checkout is too early if it is expected to leave the place clean and tidy - especially as we had to take all our recycling home with us! Overall good value for money.
