The Little House is a beautiful spacious, light and characterful detached property with private annexe, situated on a quiet lane in the coastal village of Brancaster. This lovely flint cottage is superbly located; close to the heart of the village with its much-loved pub and within easy walking distance of the sandy beach and Royal West Norfolk Golf Course.
The Little House is a delightfully deceptive property, offering laid back relaxed accommodation for six guests over two floors in the main house, with the added luxury of an en-suite annexe for two further guests within its grounds, making it ideal for multi-generational families wanting a degree of privacy. The accommodation is extremely flexible, with three of the four bedrooms having super-king size zip-and-link beds which can be configured as twin single beds if required. With a large open-plan kitchen, dining and sitting room; and bi-fold doors opening up onto the pretty east facing garden, there is plenty of space to relax inside and out.
From The Little House you can enjoy some spectacular scenic countryside and coastal walks, making it perfect for a short break with friends and family or longer stay. Brancaster and the neighbouring village of Brancaster Staithe is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With its big skies, wide sandy beaches, spectacular sunsets, salty sea air and wildlife, this is a beautiful part of the world. At Brancaster beach you'll find seasonal facilities to buy refreshments and ice-creams, but it's also easy to get to remote deserted areas of beach, or simply walk the coastal path or up to Barrow Common and you will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views across tidal marshes. If you're lucky and walk left along the village beach, you may also see the seals in the lagoon between Brancaster and Titchwell, which is also home to the RSPB nature reserve.
This property is also available as a sleeps six option without the annexe, listed as The Little House (6).
Additional Information: Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Duvets and pillows are feather. Please bring your own pods for the coffee machine. Travel cot and high chair available on request. Please bring your own linen for the travel cot.

We loved the Little House. Very spacious and comfortable especially the beds. Ideally located for the coast, sweeping Brancaster beach a short drive away. Loved Burnham Market and had a lovely trip to Sandringham.

Lovely stay for my mums 60th
Was a fantastic house in a great location! Very comfy beds wkth high quickly duvets and pillows. Lots of open space and a bathroom per room was great.
Lovely garden and so good you can walk to the beach from the house.
My only little negative feedback - the oven took forever to cook anything! We tried to do a fry up but the sausages took over an hour to cook
The people before must have had a cream dog as there was dog hair everywhere on the rug which attached to our socks and clothes which wasn’t great having a toddler around
Also a lot of cobwebs evident in the open living doenstairs
But apart from those small tips we have a fantastic stay

not so little house
This house is in a wonderfull location with a nice outlook onto fields from a large patio, dog proof and very spacious inside ideal for large family gatherings and exploring norfolks coastline. It is very well managed by norfolk hideaways who were very responsive to minor problems that we had.Yes I was very impressed one of the best properties that we have stayed in over the last 30 plus years.

Beautiful house
This is a beautiful house but our stay was marred by the noise created by infestation of some sort in lower floor ceiling which kept us awake.
Beautiful location, garden and seating area.
Very much enjoyed the stay.

Lovely home in Norfolk
We visited the Little House for a family weekend away and really enjoyed our time at the property. It's well located and has everything you need in terms of facilities and equipment like utensils etc and logs for the lovely fire. All of the bedrooms are a great size and the house was very clean on arrival.
The only thing I would say is that the neighbour's dog kennel appears to be next to the wall of the downstairs bedroom and they did unfortunately wake us up at around 5/6 in the morning each day with quite a lot of barking which was a shame as we would have liked a little bit of a lay in being on holiday.

Perfect Christmas getaway
7 Night satay over Christmas. Perfect location for dog walks on the beach and a stones throw away from the pub. Layout is excellent and very spacious. Everything is of great quality and was a real home from home. Could have done with extra towels and a very minor moan are the kitchen knives, the ends have snapped off and are all very worn. Would absolutely stay again.

Perfect weekend away!
What a stunning property, beautifully presented, very well equipped and oh so very tranquil. The open plan nature of the lounge, dining room and kitchen made for a very inclusive weekend of eating, chatting and having fun. I could not fault it and would definitely book again.

A beautiful haven near the North Norfolk coast
Norfolk Hideaways’ website was a delight to use, booking was very easy and follow-up instructions via email were clear, concise and professional. The staff we came into contact with were very helpful and friendly.
The Little House in Brancaster looked perfect for our holiday with friends and our two dogs. On arrival at the house, the reality was even better. As a previous guest commented in the visitors’ book, with a name like that, you know the house isn’t going to be small. The large open plan living area is magnificent and the whole house is finished to such a high standard and is beautifully decorated. The furniture, soft furnishings, the lovely Stoves cooker and all the white goods are of such good quality it felt like living in a wonderful home rather than a holiday rental. The beds are blissfully comfortable and very spacious.
The rear garden is lovely and very well dog-proofed. If there is one addition which would make life a little easier, it would be a gate between the rear garden and the parking area at the front. This would contain both dogs and lively young children should the front gates be opened by mistake or when a car is entering the drive. A great feature is a hot and cold water hose pipe just inside the front gates which is good for washing dogs and muddy wellies.
The house is perfectly situated for long walks, being about 15 minutes at a healthy pace from Brancaster’s beautiful beach, or for short walks around the pretty village if it pours with rain. Having the Ship Inn at the top of the street is also a real bonus.
We were there to celebrate a 70th birthday and thank you so very much to the owner who hand-delivered some birthday cards to us which had been redirected to his home!

A spacious and comfortable base for a 70th Birthday week-end celebration
On a wild, wet and very windy week-end the Little House provided a warm and cosy retreat for the family. It is a shame it was too inclement to enjoy the garden but we appreciated the space and tranquillity and proximity to the beach. Probably the best equipped place we have ever stayed in, including for our ever active 4 year old granddaughter, who loved the games, jigsaws and her own special chair!

Special Silver Anniversary Break at the Little House
We stayed at the Little House for a week spending some quality time with friends celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary. The house is in a great location and within easy reach of some great eateries and a fabulous beach. The open plan layout of the main living accommodation was perfect for soclalising and dining, it was really well equipped and the Sky Q package meant we could watch the Solheim Cup exciting conclusion! There are 4 double bedrooms - a large double with en suite downstairs, two further large doubles upstairs with an additional large double with en suite in the annex. The property had a cosy feel in spite of the openness. The garden was well maintained and equipped with a large BBQ to use if the weather allows; having a field behind the house adds to the general feeling of space and the grazing horses was an added bonus. Will definitely be returning.

Our whole stay was perfect. The house could have been cleaner when we arrived.
Our whole stay was perfect, just could have been a bit cleaner when we arrived. Bin filthy and old food stuck to bottom, fridge greasy and smelt, needed a deep clean. Rest of the house was of a good standard.
