Wahoo's Roatan is a newer 2 bedroom / 2 bath condo, that has a large patio with a garden and partial pool view. This premier condo is located on the southwestern tip of Roatan Island, that includes a private beach, 680 feet of stunning shoreline and an on site restaurant, The Kismet. Wahoo's Roatan is only a 10 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of West Bay Beach, (voted one of the top beaches in the Caribbean) where you can enjoy the turquoise waters, restaurants, bars and water-sport rentals. Steps away from the condo is world-class snorkeling from the private beach and is only a short swim away to one of the island's popular dive sites! Roatan is home to the second largest barrier reef in the world and is a divers paradise. After snorkeling in the pristine water, cool off in the newly completed resort style pool, relax and enjoy paradise.

Wahoo's Roatan was completed in July of 2016 and was built with luxury in mind. The condo features high end furnishings, granite counter tops, travertine tile floors and showers, stainless steel appliances, Honduran mahogany cabinetry and doors, venetian plaster walls, wireless internet with tvs in both bedrooms and living room. While there is still varying levels of construction at the Meridian, the property developer is very conscious of guest's privacy and work is concentrated on the interior of the few remaining units as they sell.

Great place

The condo was very nice and the property is lovely. One of the nicest places in west bay. The communication with the property managers is not good but the owners of the condo unit are working on this issue and were very helpful.

Wahoo’s Roatan provides everything needed for a comfortable stay in paradise. The photos do not show the true beauty of the Meridian. Geoff is great at helping answer island questions and he set up a very quick last minute airport pick up for us. Thank you Ernesto for the shuttle, grocery drop and car rental! Megan was our expert “foodie” and provided awesome restaurant suggestions. With Wahoo’s Roatan you get the best of two worlds. Quiet relaxation and privacy at the Meridian beach and pool. With a 10 minute walk over the hill: West Bay Beach, activities, restaurants and dive shops. If you love sunsets, they are amazing on the beach in front of the Meridian restaurant Kismet. It was a perfect week. Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo!

We love Geoff's Condo at the Meridian!

The condo is very nice and just like the photos. The snorkeling off the beach and around the point is amazing. The staff at the Meridian are very freindly and helpful. Geoff, the owner of the condo, was very freindly over email and sent us lots of information. We would definitely stay again!

Such an amazing place

Great resort and location.

Had a great time at the Wahoo unit in the Meridian resort. Very close to restaurants, beaches and bars. The condo was fantastic and had everything we needed. The resort was quiet and not crowded. We had been travelling for over a month and the beds were super comfortable, the best we had slept on for weeks. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to stay in comfort in the west bay area..

4th time in Roatan.

The condo we rented, 107, was excellent. Very clean and good size for the four of us. Just missing an ocean view from the patio and a hammock for my wife. The challenge was walking to and from West Bay, because we are not used to climbing the steep hills. But it did become easier as the days past. All the people working at the Meridian are super and very helpful. Thanks for a wonderful vacation.

Three days in paradise!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The private beach and snorkeling were awesome and the easy walk to all the West Bay resorts/restaurants was great as well. Cut through the Grand Roatan for an easier walk to West Bay. Eat at the Argentinian! Some of the best (and most) grilled shrimp we've ever eaten!!

Relaxing in Roatan

We just had a wonderful week at the condo. Geoff our host was extremely helpful and kind with tips and communication. The kitchen was large, the bed was very comfortable. And nice amenities for the evenings, TVs with Roku etc. Also the balcony was very comfortable. It was nice to have a private beach for the complex. With great snorkeling. The condo was very quiet and the pool was massive. My daughter loved it. The staff at the Meridian were very gracious and the security was excellent. Amazing restaurants are very close by as well! Great spot in paradise!

Snorkeling with Grandsons

Had a great time. Great snorkeling right off sandy beach. Allowed us to create wonderful memories with grands. We had the beach to ourselves. The condo was everything as advertised.

Great unit - beautiful private beach!

We stayed here for our dive vacation. Ended up renting a car to get us back and forth from Bananarama Dive Shop each day. Walked the hill back and forth one time and then no more (too steep!). The condo is very nice with all we needed. Wifi was very strong in the condo and also good at the restaurant. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels were provided. The staff at The Meridian were all wonderful and very helpful. The private beach around the corner from the restaurant is the best reason to stay at the Meridian. Idyllic!! We were hoping to do a lot of snorkeling off the beach, but the water is very shallow, making it difficult to safely swim around the rocks and coral, so we just enjoyed the view from the lounge chairs. There are no umbrellas, but lots of shady spots from all the trees, so no worries if you like to stay out of the sun. Things to be aware of: 1) There's no way to do laundry except to pay $9 (per load) for the staff to wash stuff for you. So plan for that and it won't be an issue. 2) Mosquitos will eat you alive if you don't have repellent. Just any basic spray will work fine, but don't forget to put it on! This is the case anywhere on the island. 3) We were told not to drink the water from the tap, but there is a filtered water dispenser and refills are easy to get if you run out. However, I drank the tap water a couple of times (forgot) and had no issues. 4) Still a lot of construction going on, but it wasn't really ever disturbing. They work quietly and not even all the time. The view directly from the condo is currently of unfinished grounds and a building in progress. It looks like a fountain is going in right below the balcony of the condo, which will be nice once it's all finished.

Nice But a Few Issues

The unit is as advertised, and comes with nice furniture and a tv in every room. Kitchen is well equipped unless you want to do gourmet cooking or cooking for a large group, which we didn't (short on pans). It wasn't a big deal that the only view was of the construction activity just off the deck. But our complaints are not minor. First - the mosquitoes. We could never seem to be rid of them. They're small and, well, they're mosquitoes. Going on a swat hunt was a nightly ritual before sleeping . Couldn't figure out where they were coming from. The water pressure in the showers was pathetic. The only way I could be sure any water was coming out was if I was dripping; you sure couldn't feel it. And hot water was a hit or miss proposition. Sometimes you'd get hot water, sometimes not, sometimes for 2 minutes and then gone. That was not acceptable.. Snorkeling from the beach was great - a pretty easy swim to West Bay beach.

Luxury, seclusion and first class corral reef access!

We first explored this wondrous peninsula on the far most western tip of Roatan 8 years ago when snorkelling from the world class West Bay beach, and admired the seclusion and beauty, away from the throngs of cruise ship day visitors. We noticed the beginnings of some property development, and feared it would loose it's charm. So we were pleasantly surprised to find a very tasteful and well laid out development that does justice to this piece of paradise. Access to the best corral I have seen baring the great barrier reef in Australia. Wonderful facilities, great staff, and utter seclusion and beauty abound. Construction is nearing completion but was never a hindrance to us. My dad enjoyed watching he goings on in fact! The appartment is perfect and feels very private. Very comfortable and well appointed and decorated. Highly recommended. Would definitely return.

Excellent property

Enjoyed my stay at this property, I loved everything about it and how safe it was. It's not easy to walk out of there to the little stores or to West Bay beach you need a car or transportation. There was construction next door during my stay so I really didn't get to enjoy waking up late as they started working at 8 a.m. every morning except for Sunday. We understand that this is out of the owner's control. We would definitely consider staying at this place again.

Overall I would summarize the property as being very private, secluded, quiet, and off the beaten path. The condo is fully updated, very nice, and had all of the necessary amenities along with the owners being very accommodating and easy to communicate with. There was a guard on duty the entire time and he was fantastically helpful. The beach was very "limited" along with the access being more limited as well as having limited sand versus rock. The swimming pool was large and enjoyable. If you don't have a car or scooter and plan on walking to the West Bay beaches(i.e. hotel and restaurants), plan on walking up a significant hill and downhill in order to get there. The ongoing construction was not intrusive but definitely is happening. We love visiting Roatan and will most likely be travelling back to Roatan next May. Cheers!-MPN

Beautiful/Quiet Location

The condo was perfectly equipped. Geoff was easy to work with and accessible when needed. This property will be exquisite when complete. The walls are thick and provide a very quiet and private stay. The beach, pool and restaurant were convenient. For younger children, West End's beach is better for swimming. We would highly recommend for your first visit.

Best vacation we have had in Caribbean

The owners undersell their condo. It was perfect for us. The condo was clean and well provided. We stopped at the grocery store as suggested on the way there. The pool had lots of room and many chairs. Walking to the restaurant/bar was a nice beach to snorkel or lay in the sun with the provided chairs. We ate at the restaurant twice and the food was very good. Sunday was pizza night and the pizza was one of the best coming from a stone pizza oven. This place, Meridian, has a guard around the clock but I never felt unsafe their. It is quiet their with almost everything you need but the good snorkeling and scuba diving is around the tip of the island. We chose to walk their but you could get a taxi. It's a 15 minute walk to the public beach at Bananarama. It doesn't take long to walk their but it is up and over and it is a steep hill. The hill takes 5 minutes to walk up each way. We took scuba lessons at Bananarama and had a great. It is highly recommended if you want to scuba for the first time. They are patient and take very good care of you. It is a trade off as where to stay. You can stay closer but it is busier, noisier and not as nice as the condo which is very clean in and out and well kept and not very bus on the street or the pool or the beach. The owner is good about answering all my questions and the manager took us on a tour of the place at arrival. The only con we had was the power but in honesty, it's an island and they all have short term outages. We like to go someplace different each winter but if we do go back it will be at the same condo.

Great apartment, great views, great beach!

Thanks Geoff we had a wonderful time! The apartment was very nice! With everything you need by hand... Everything clean and brand new! Great views of the sunrise and sunset as it is on the end of Roatan you got to see both! The beach is really nice with a nice spot to snorkel as well! I recomend it...
