Chaudiere Beach House
Chaudiere Beach House is a six bedroom family holiday house, furnished for casual and stylish comfort. It sits on a bushy block and the yard is not fenced. It has magnificent views over Flinders Bay and the mouth of the Blackwood River. In season you are likely to see whales from the upstairs veranda and dolphins may pass by at any time. The Colourpatch Restaurant is just around the corner and surf and child friendly beaches are nearby. Wineries, forests, caves and all the attractions of Margaret River are all just a short drive away.
The accommodation consists of an upstairs house and a self-contained downstairs flat. They are never rented separately. Access to the flat is only given to groups of more than eight or to smaller groups for an additional fee. It is not permitted for guests to be accommodated in campervans or tents on the property in any circumstances.
The upstairs house has a comfortable living room and a separate dining room with a reverse cycle air conditioner. There is a well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, induction cooktop, electric oven and microwave. There are four bedrooms one with a queen bed, one with a double and the others have twin single beds. There are two bathrooms (one ensuite).
The downstairs flat has a living/dining room with a television and a kitchen with a electric stove. There are two adjoining bedrooms, one with a queen bed the other has double bunks. There is also a small bathroom.
Please note that there is some sound transference between the upper level and the downstairs flat. This is one of the reasons why we do not rent the space separately and charge only a modest rent for additional guests.
Both levels have a washing machine and dryer.
Linen is supplied and beds will be made prior to your arrival. Each bed has a feather doona and a lighter cover. We supply bathmats, hand towels and one bath towel per person. Tea towels are also supplied. You will need to bring your own toiletries.
The house is inspected and cleaned following each stay. However, our rates are calculated on the understanding that guests will leave the house in a reasonably clean and tidy state. Any excess cleaning will be charged at $40 an hour.
There are two driveways (one to the house and one to the flat), which provide plenty of parking and easy access, including for elderly people. However, the external stairs linking the two are quite steep, and care should be taken with young children or frail, elderly people.
BOATS AND CARAVANS MUST NOT BE PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY OR THE STREET OUTSIDE THE HOUSE. There is an area at the bottom of the street where larger vehicles and boats can be parked.

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys
The house must be left in a clean and tidy state.
Ensure all indoor and outdoor furniture is placed where it was on arrival. Floors should be swept and benches wiped. The barbeque must be thoroughly cleaned.
Ensure all dishes and cooking utensils are washed and put away, all food has been removed from the fridge and cupboards and rubbish has been bagged and placed in bins.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
