Had a great stay in a lovely chalet, the location is beautiful and quiet. We stayed for four days and communication was quick and detailed! Hamelin bay is literally a 5 minute drive perfect to relax at. It has made for a strong start to our 2026 3

Thanks very much for your review Adam. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and we were really pleased to hear that it made a good start to 2026 for you. Our very best wishes for the rest of the year. Kindest regards, Carolyn
Great little place for a couple. Carolyn was really lovely to deal with and very responsive. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the deck overlooking the bush with a coffee or wine in hand. The cottage is well appointed. No wifi or free to air tv, but that wasnt a huge issue for us. There was a good selection of dvds when we wanted to watch something. Close enough to Augusta, and it had some nice wineries etc in easy striking distance. Going up the staris was a good work out too! Further from the beach than I had expected, but still an easy drive to get to.
We had a lovely stay, the unit was laid out to take in all the beautiful views, looking straight into the trees where you could listen to the birds doing their thing. The place was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately there was no TV. Completely understand if no WIFI but I suggest that you put quite clearly that no TV or WIFI. Yes there were DVD's but most from the 70's. Also the kettle has not so good rust stain inside. Also if you wash dishes don't expect hot water for a shower. Apart from these little tweaks that could be rectified, most definitely I would stay again.

Hi Sue, thank you for your review, we are glad to hear that you had a lovely stay. We are sorry that you were disappointed not to have commercial TV channels available. As the chalet is in a rural location and we had numerous problems with satellite TV, we took the decision over a year ago to create a DVD library with various genres such as comedy, drama, romance, action, horror, sci-fi, and thriller to try and cater to a broad range of tastes. Whilst there are a few movies from the 70s, there are certainly a broad selection of movies from various decades, but we will review the selection of movies available and also check the inside of the kettle. Thanks and kind regards, Carolyn
Beautiful setting close to Hamelin Bay beach.Enjoyed a wander around Karridale Cemetery. A visit to Augusta town, surrounds, lighthouse and fish and chips at the boat harbour make for an enjoyable visit.

While the stairs were a little daunting at first, the result was well worth it as the Hamelin Bay Retreat felt like a tree-house and was absolutely beautiful.

Lovely peaceful and very clean property. The owner obviously cares about this property and cares about creating a lovely space for couples looking for a peaceful getaway. Close to Augusta for those looking to check out the region. We loved it and definitely recommend. Also love the DVD collection! Thanks so much for having us at this lovely property.

Needs coffee table in lounge the bed frame and base is very substandard every time you move it makes a very loud squeak and the grass needs mowing and a mirror next to the hand basin for shaving would be helpful not worth the money for wot we paid

Thank you for your feedback Ray. We are waiting on a coffee table that is on order. There is a mirror in the bathroom and I do appreciate that it is not directly over the basin because of the window above it. The grass can get long in the winter months, thank you for drawing this to our attention. Kind regards.
