Hi Sophie , thank you for your review . I would just like to clarify the point of no driveway to the house . The access to the property is down a grassy path that is owned by council and not by us . As a result we are unable to provide stairs to the property. We have also made this very clear on the information provided about the house on the booking website and repeat this when we send out the information to you prior to your arrival.

Living in an eco-friendly property nestled within the natural beauty of the Royal National Park unquestionably presents its own set of challenges. We understand your observations about the metal rubbish bins, and we continuously strive to maintain them in the face of the coastal environment. The allure of our location is the opportunity to embrace the serenity and sounds of the ocean by keeping doors open with flyscreens in place, offering a distinct experience from a typical city hotel with air conditioning and comprehensive room services. The open glass windows allow the coastal breeze to blow thru the house keeping the temperature down on hot summer days. It's important to us that our guests are fully informed about the unique setting of our property. As stated on our website and in the information provided to all clients, our house is positioned at the base of a steep grassy slope owned by the council, with no road access. As such we are unable to construct stairs with handrails on this council owned land. However, this secluded location allows for unparalleled privacy and breathtaking ocean views from every room, making the journey down the grassy path a worthwhile experience. Regarding waste management, we request that guests place their rubbish in the bins located behind the house during their stay. We have taken steps to ensure that the proper disposal and management of waste is looked after by our staff who take the bins up the grassy slope on set bin collection days. This avoids the need for the cleaners to come into the house and collect rubbish for the set council bin days. By doing this we maintain guests' privacy and comfort and minimize any disruption during their stay while still maintaining our environmental responsibilities. Again this is only a request. We appreciate your feedback, and we are continuously evaluating ways to further enhance the experience for our guests while preserving the unique character of our property.
