About this property

Central - Port Elliot Historic Villa

Large 5 bedroom house that Sleeps 11 - with beds made up ready for your stay!

(Please note: you do need to supply your own towels, tea towels and bath mats.)

Suits 11 people -1 or 2 Families or perhaps 4 couples. It has 4 Queen beds in the first 4 rooms and the 5th bedroom has 2 single beds. (there is also a spare single bed in one of the queen bedrooms if required) There are 3 Bathrooms - one is an ensuite. Portacot and high chair available if needed.

There are 2 separate large living areas with a Pool Table and Plasma tvs - one upstairs with balcony and sea views. The kitchen is modern with stainless steel appliances including a large Smeg Oven, a water dispensing fridge and a dishwasher. The Laundry is separate with Washer/Dryer. The outdoor entertaining area has a BBQ and there is plenty of off street Car/boat Parking.

Wonderful location in Port Elliot just 5 minutes from Horseshoe Bay, Pubs, restaurants and other Beaches.

FREE NBN WIFI and FLEXIBILITY re entry/exit times during non school holiday times.

Great combined family holiday

Perfect location with lots of space and a nice bit of lawn outisde for kids to play. So much to do in the area. It was a great space to come back to and relax.

We had 6 adults and 4 children staying and there was plenty of room. Location is fantastic and checkin was easy. Air conditioning worked a treat and there was a fan avalible for each bedroom. We will be back.

Quick getaway

A lovely character-filled home close to cafes, beaches and main streets. We stayed for three days and didn't use the car at all - we walked everywhere. Nice quiet location with great kitchen facilities and plenty of space for everyone

70th birthday with the girls

This property met all our needs. 3 bathrooms large bedrooms and the house is just unique Everyone enjoyed the common area as we gathered for food and drinks and wonderful outside area Plenty of parking available and everything is in walking distance. Stayed for 3 nights.The host was so helpful and understanding responding to any requests quickly. I hope I can arrange another holiday there

Perfect location. Lovely house.

Perfect location to walk to beach, shops, pubs and cafes. Great space for Family with two lounge / living spaces. Pool table provided lots of entertainment. Only given 4 stars as there was no “basic” items which are appreciated in holiday houses - such as body wash / shampoo / sauces etc. Apart from that we had a lovely holiday.

Fantastic location

This property is in a fantastic location and more than suitable for a large group. Quiet location and a short walk to everywhere in Pt Elliot. Everything at the property that you need. Probably due for a bit of updating/maintenance. Only down side was the cleaniness of the property. Perhaps need to look at a new cleaner. Clothes dryer filter not cleaned out, back of toilet in main bathroom filthy and dust and hair all around, rubbish under the bed in 1 bedroom, wine glass in 1 bedroom with liquid still in it, rangehood filthy and just very dusty in general. Maybe needs a spot check the day before property is being let.

We had a great time staying at Charteris House. Kylie’s communication was excellent and we were even treated with a special present for my mum (she loves the teddy bear). The rooms were perfect. The kitchen was great, and having 3 bathrooms/toilets was handy.

Perfect getaway

This house was the most perfect base for our stay in port elliot. The house is enormous, with plenty of room for the kids to run around and play. It’s also in a great location, and only a short walk to horseshoe bay, knights, and the high street. We loved it so much that we've already rebooked!

Disappointing and mislead!!

We stayed at this property for two weeks and were very disappointed. The pictures and reviews of this property were misleading. The only good point about this property is the location. The pictures online do not represent the property in its true state. It is run down and in need of plenty of maintenance 🙄 Whilst we were there it rained and all the gutters were blocked and overflowing due to moss and greenery growing in them. Security is almost non existent, with some doors rotting. The garden is overgrown and unloved. On top of that the property was filthy. We had to wash and clean everything we wanted to use. For example all the cutlery, plates and glassware were filthy and had to be washed before use. The oven, stovetop and range hood were disgusting. The house is full of cobwebs and dust. The cleaner is definitely not doing their job and hasn't for quite some time. All of the beds were so uncomfortable, so for the whole fortnight we did not have a good night's rest. Instead of continually renting out this property perhaps Kylie should take a look at her investment and perhaps get some maintenance done!!! Kylie is pleasant to talk to and apologetic about the situation but I strongly recommend that instead of apologising it needs to be addressed, not brushed off by offering a better deal next time we stay because for us there won't be a next time at any price. We paid a cleaning fee, what a joke as nothing was clean when we arrived!! We left the property cleaner than it was when we arrived!! Sorry Kylie, but I would definitely not recommend this property to anyone.
