Escape to a lakeside retreat only 10 minutes from I-65 Exit 305 on Smith Lake in Cullman, Alabama. Relax with your friends and family on the deck while watching your favorite sport on the 70'' flat screen television through the open garage door or with the screens in place. Or watch the sunset from the observation deck above the swim pier.

This unique, commercially designed home includes two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The home can sleep one to six comfortably. The home features an open and large family room, kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and with ice/water dispenser in the refrigerator. The home has been professionally decorated by an interior designer.

The home features two large insulated glass garage doors that can be opened for open-air and screens that remotely lower to create a completely screened-in porch for the entire home.

The home is located within five minutes of Smith Lake Park, with free boat launch and is directly across from Smith Lake Marina.

The boat not being available was disappointing, but it turned out to be not that difficult to find one. The deck and walkway need a good pressure washing. Now that we have visited the area I would rent the unit again it was clean inside and well stocked. I would suggest a few beach towels. It was a little musty at first but we added a few glade plug ins and let it air out.

The host was great & very quick to respond when we needed help unlocking & shifting thermostat from heat to air (it was unseasonably warm outside for late Nov). Kitchen was well equipped for cooking & had everything we needed. It was just us & another couple staying & was perfect for low key, relaxing weekend indoors. Parking is a little tight at the house (especially turning around in larger vehicle); however it did mention additional parking was available at front of the road. Overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Perfect for proximity to Cullman

This is a wonderful property with great lake views andthe perfect decor for the lake. I brought my 98 yr oldmother and daughter to bring my mom back to Cullman,her hometown for over 60 years. Perfect spot for us.This is the third time for us here.

Absolutely loved this place!

We loved everything about this place! Location was great, check in was easy, beds were comfortable, showers worked well and had plenty of hot water. Rental was very well stocked. It had everything you might need for a stay and then some. Very highly recommend this place and already have plans to stay again in the future!

Grace's Retreat was purchased in 2007 and is a family owned property. It is named for our Grandmother. The home was decorated by our sister who is an interior designer.

Why they chose this property

We purchased Grace's Retreat in 2007. The house is named for our grandmother who passed away in 2008. More than anything she loved having her family together. This house brings family and friends together throughout the year.

It is only a short drive from I-65 and is located less than 2 minutes from the public boat launch at Smith Lake Park. With the open floor plan, the house is perfect for large gatherings or getaways for couples, friends, and families.
