Wake to the sound of the bushland whilst overlooking the beautiful Moruya River, the same river that will take you direct to the ocean, beautiful beaches, deep sea fishing and whale watching.
Only two hours from Canberra, four from Sydney and a short 10 minutes from the rural south coast town of Moruya and Sapphire Coast beaches. Historic Mogo township is a short drive, as well as Mogo zoo and if it's deep sea fishing you want get them to pick you up from the farm's river beach and head straight out to sea.
On the property itself, guests can enjoy bushwalking on the 220 acre property including wetlands, relaxing, mountain biking or swimming and fishing in the river, which is also suitable for canoeing/kayaking. 2.5 km of private river frontage including a sandy beach make for the perfect picnic spot. Make friends with native birds, wombats and kangaroos or, read a book, enjoy a stroll or just take it easy and do nothing. You won’t want to leave.
Farm animal experiences complimentary like Meet the Moos, hand feed our Belted Galloway’s and Pat the Pony which is hands on parting brushing and interacting with our miniature horses. Also complimentary farm fresh eggs when available.
Mogendoura cottages
The Mogendoura cottages are three self-catered, top quality, brick cottages set well away from Mogendoura farmhouse with a large outdoor undercover dining BBQ area, perfect for larger groups. Children's playground, count house, outdoor games, fire pit and cooking out. Each has two bedrooms, kitchen lounge/dining room, bathroom, and laundry/toilet and can comfortably accommodate six. Individually, each cottage is ideal for families or a group of friends. Otherwise, as they are within proximity to each other, this is perfect for family groups or larger groups of friends to get together whilst also providing private accommodation. For additional ambiance each cottage has a slow combustion fire for those chilly winter evenings.

About the host
Hosted by Emma Lipscombe
Tree charge farmer for 13 years who loves to share the farm with nature loving like minded people their family and friends. Love introducing the animals to the guests and answering any questions about Farming, the work we do and the local environments. Sharing all my local knowledge of where to go and what to do is a highlight as I really value our Eurobodalla community who supported us when we first moved here. So proud to call Mogendoura farm our home.
Why they chose this property
Even though we are 220 acres of cleared and stunning natural bush and set with boundaries that consist of the Moruya river and
Mogendoura creek, a loooong 2km driveway into the farm: we are only 10 mins to Moruta town and Moruya airport as well as so many South coast beaches are only minutes away. That is if you want more than just a river to swim fish kayak etc in. We also benefit that the state forest is just out the farms gate with the most amazing trails, for mountain biking, hiking or riding your horse. Also set basically halfway between Mogo and Narooma if you are a mountain enthusiast we have you covered. Even mountain hike on farm!

What makes this property unique
Most people think a working farm may be ‘flat’ but we are topographically diverse. Also we only have one small land boundary. The other boundaries are waterways. If you view the farm on the
Map we are basically a ‘boot’ shape. This means we are very private and secure.you feel a world away. Yet close to main town should you need anything. The biodiversity is so varied given our location. River flats, open pastures, wetlands and close to the sea. Perfect for birders/bird watchers but certainly makes for stunning scenery.
