We had an amazing experience. Our hosts were brilliant. The space is fantastic for kids. We set up cricket, there are swings and a cubby-house and our hosts very kindly included the kids in some fun farm tasks like feeding and looking after the animals. The farm is a really close drive to some fantastic beaches and the little river beach on the property is also fun for swimming. A quiet but convenient place to have a getaway.

Absolutely gorgeous setting! The extended family all had the best time fishing and swimming in the river, and exploring the property! The cottages are cosy and spotlessly clean. The hosts are amazing! We will definitely be back.
While lots of the adults were keen to just relax for the long weekend, we loved the opportunities to feed the cows, meet Orlando, and hang out with the farm dogs. Great amenities.

Wonderful farm stay holiday for the family for a birthday celebration. Emma and her husband were great hosts and took the time to show us the miniature pony and feed the cows. The kids loved it. The river was quite difficult to get to but worth the effort. Great for canoes and SUPs.

Hi Wendy! Thank you for coming to the farm! And the kind comments….look forward to seeing you all again Mx 🤠😘🐴
Beautiful property run by friendly and kind hosts Emma gave us lots of tips for places to visit, for great coffee, local breweries and splendid views. Mogendoura Farm is cosy and comfortable and the “Oreo” cows all have names! Definitely take the time to feed them with Rob, it’s a lovely experience. Thank you again for sharing your gorgeous property Emma and Rob 😊
Ideal for an extended family group. Had separate sub-group spaces but good communal space as well. All facilities in good working condition. Reasonably close to town/shops (Moruya, NOT Batemans Bay as shown on Stayz). Close to river for water activities, and large grassed area for ball games. Beach at Broulee only 20 min drive. Farm enironment interesting.
We had a terrific time at the property. It was great to meet Rob and Emma who were lovely hosts. There were lots to do around the farm and the town of Moruya. Kids enjoyed being able to play sports at the farm.

So look forward to seeing you all again Thank you Emma
This was the best location to meet long lost family All 22 of us 10 children under 12 and 10 adults. we were comfortable and had the best time. So much to do on the property and short drive away. Emma and rib were so very accommodating. Not even the rain could dampen our spirits and trip of a life time
Thank you
Well what a wonderful place. 3 generations of us all coming together with 3 families and one set of grandparents. Couldn’t have picked a better spot. Emma the host and her husband Rob were fantastic. Lots of room for the kids to run around. Swam and fished in the river. Searched for wombats. Had lovely campfires. What a truly magical place.
From the beautiful scenery as you travel down the gravel driveway, to meeting the bubly Emma on arrival, a stay at Mogendoura Farms will not disappoint! We stayed for a week with three families, and we enjoyed so many activities on the front lawn (including some humorous attemps at the volleyball net located near cottage 3), at the river and even a trip to the beach. The facilities are wonderful, a home away from home, most of our meals were enjoyed at the BBQ with our large family group. Dealing with Emma was an absolute pleasure and as a group we will be back again!
We had a terrific time at the property. It was lovely to meet Rob and Emma who were wonderful hosts. We rented out the three cottages (for three separate family groups). This worked really well for all of us as there is the communal bbq area and seating to use.
There were lots to do around the farm and the town of Moruya. Access to the river was an easy walk with plenty of fishing and kayaking. Kids enjoyed the cubby house, playground and open space to kick the footy.
Can highly recommend and will go back again.

Catherine thank you so much for the lovely review! It makes us both so happy that you made full use of the farm and its offerings. Do hope to see you all again soon Mx Emma
Emma and Rob were great hosts, the kids really enjoyed having the chance to feed the Belties (Galloway cattle) and pat the miniature horse.
The location is great, on the river just outside Moruya and there are so many good beaches and inlets nearby, as well as fire trails for mountain biking straight out of the farm gate.
The best thing about the set up for us was the big covered outdoor eating area with bbqwhich could easily seat 20 people. We spent every evening out there and out whole group ate together outside.
Our whole family enjoyed this getaway it's located in a very peaceful setting, feels remote but only a 8 min drive to town. The experience Emma and her husband provided for us and the kids was wonderful and caring, allowing us to feed their cattle and pet their pet pony and dogs just made it all more home, so much so the kids want to move there 😅. We enjoyed peaceful walks around the property and down to the river, the bonfire kept us warm at night and provide for more time together all day long, the only negative was that we couldn't stay there longer.... The Cabins are tidy and well kept and well equipped. Thank you Emma and Robert for letting us share your piece of heaven!

Hi Victoria! Thank you for such a kind review. I have the earrings! Please send me some postal details Mx 🤠
We had a lovely stay with friends over the June long weekend. We rented out all three cabins - one family per cabin with kids ranging from 4 to 11 years.
The farm was perfect for our group - the kids were able to play freely on the grass, play equipment and cubby house. They could run between cabins to meet their friends. The close space, separated from the driveway felt very safe and the kids loved their freedom, while the parents lived being able to chat and keep an eye out without too much fuss.
The cabins were cosy with the fire places and allowed each family to have some space when needed. The fire pit and long outdoor table were great for getting together.
Emma was a wonderful host, welcoming and warm. The kids loved feeding the cows and meeting the horse and miniature horse. The farm dogs, Zeus and Griffin were particular favourites.
We enjoyed day trips to Moruya markets, Bodalla and Broulee - all just a short distance away.
We lived our stay at the farm and are already planning our next visit!
We had an amazing holiday at this cottage. The property was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and very well equipped with everything we needed. The surroundings were peaceful and perfect for a relaxing break. The owner was extremely friendly, responsive, and made sure we were comfortable throughout our stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommended!
I wish you could give more stars, 5 is not enough. We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary with our family. With 8 adults and 5 small grandchildren the 3 cottages were perfect. So many adventures to be had, the river to paddle or swim or fish in, the space to just be free, the fire pit for toasting marshmallows. Fabulous Undercover BBQ area. The perfect hosts, always there if you need them. Thank you for letting us feed your gorgeous cows, and showing the children how to Pat and brush Orlando. You are a star Emma. We all had a ball.

About the host
Hosted by Emma Lipscombe
Tree charge farmer for 13 years who loves to share the farm with nature loving like minded people their family and friends. Love introducing the animals to the guests and answering any questions about Farming, the work we do and the local environments. Sharing all my local knowledge of where to go and what to do is a highlight as I really value our Eurobodalla community who supported us when we first moved here. So proud to call Mogendoura farm our home.
Why they chose this property
Even though we are 220 acres of cleared and stunning natural bush and set with boundaries that consist of the Moruya river and Mogendoura creek, a loooong 2km driveway into the farm: we are only 10 mins to Moruta town and Moruya airport as well as so many South coast beaches are only minutes away. That is if you want more than just a river to swim fish kayak etc in. We also benefit that the state forest is just out the farms gate with the most amazing trails, for mountain biking, hiking or riding your horse. Also set basically halfway between Mogo and Narooma if you are a mountain enthusiast we have you covered. Even mountain hike on farm!
What makes this property unique
Most people think a working farm may be ‘flat’ but we are topographically diverse. Also we only have one small land boundary. The other boundaries are waterways. If you view the farm on the Map we are basically a ‘boot’ shape. This means we are very private and secure.you feel a world away. Yet close to main town should you need anything. The biodiversity is so varied given our location. River flats, open pastures, wetlands and close to the sea. Perfect for birders/bird watchers but certainly makes for stunning scenery.
