Stand Alone Private Studio in trendy Bixby Knolls

This adorable yet simple guest room we named, "Heart of Bixby Knolls" is perfect for one, cozy for two! Come relax in this clean and airy studio apartment with queen-size adjustable bed, mini fridge, high speed internet and fresh towels just for you. Make this apartment your home base as you explore Long Beach and all the surrounding areas. 5 minute drive from Long Beach airport. 20 minutes to LB Convention Center and beautiful beaches. 30 minutes to Disneyland and our favorite...Knotts.

The space
Up 9 stairs, this secluded, private studio is small in size but big in comfort. It's just the right size for you to get a good night sleep before your busy day. And help yourself to California oranges and lemons from our trees. Enjoy the sunshine!

Guest access
As the apartment is stand alone, you can come and go as you please. Feel free to access the backyard which has chairs and a picnic table. Our residential home is on the other side of the yard. We are close by if you need anything.

Other things to note
First Friday's are really fun. We are just blocks to where it is happening in Bixby Knolls.

Walk 3 blocks to Atlantic Ave and you can visit Stateside Crafts, Dutch's Brew house, Lolas Mexican Cousine, Brooklyn Deli, EJ Malloy, Rasselbach, and Cold Stone Creamery.

Our place is small. Taking out any odorous trash and placing in can at the bottom of stairs can be keep things fresh!

The room and neighborhood are lovely. Great bars and restaurants are within walking distance and an Uber is usually available within 10 minutes. Communication with Rita was prefect. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Felt like home.

Our stay was amazing. From the minute we arrived everything was perfect. The bed is super comfortable. The snacks and water including coffee was very convenient. Perfect for us!

Perfect room above the garage of a beautiful 1929s Spanish revival style home in a great neighborhood. The bed was comfy, the fan was enough for us in September but there was AC also. The shower had good pressure and the bathroom was clean if small. Rita thoughtfully had all sorts of spare bathroom amenities and also a fridge with lots of water plus a keurig and creamers. We could not have been happier with our stay!

Great Host

Nice comfortable room. No frills, bed, bathroom and mini fridge. Rita the host was just wonderful, she made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is quiet and you felt safe. We did enjoy an evening walk, but did not have the time to enjoy the beautiful patio and porch. Rita picked lemons from her tree for my tea, I was even able to take a few home. Would stay again!

Home Away From Home

If you're looking for a home away from home. This is THE spot. The place is clean, serene, and has everything you could possibly think of. From coffee pods and coffee machine to snacks to even toiletries. Rita and her husband have thought of it all! She also provides places to go see and some great hike ideas especially when the weather is amazing! Thank you Rita, for having me stay at your wonderful place! I look forward to staying again!! Great Studio Rental

While visiting my son for the weekend, we stayed at this cute studio. The owner Rita was amazing, making our stay at her rental stress free. Rita was great in communicating and checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Directions and instructions for checking in were clear and made checking in seamless. I had forgotten to pack hair spray, but there was a basket of toiletries in bathroom with hairspray! That saved me from having to go out and buy a bottle just for the weekend. There’s also a mini fridge and coffee bar with bottled water and snacks! The bed is very comfortable. Cleanliness is important to me when staying at a rental or hotel and the studio was very clean. Rita’s home is beautiful, the area feels very safe and the charming neighborhood is nice for walks. I also liked the binder of information and story of the history of the home and studio rental. Thank you Rita and Dan!

Great cozy stay

I stayed at this cozy private room for a week during my vacation to Los Angeles and I had a fantastic experience. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the location and surrounding neighborhood was gorgeous and tranquil. My only complaint would be that at night it did get pretty cold but the thick bed sheets and provided heater did a great job at keeping me and the room warm
