Great location, very close to lakefront, Dunes, and restaurants. A communication from Lisa. The loft is fully stocked and super comfortable, we had a great time!
I loved my stay here! It was in the heart of the Arts District, clean and had every amenity I could hope for!It was an eclectic dream come true! Vintage and repurposed items everywhere! I loved all the little easter eggs everywhere I looked!
Great location - on a really cute street with festive storefront windows, grassy/park areas for pets, and close to everything (mall, casino, dunes, MI). The place was super clean and well stocked. Both beds were comfortable and supportive. The decor is tasteful and beautiful. The owners were very responsive and everything worked great!100% would recommend. It was very accomodating for our dog and the teenagers even loved it.
Check in and communication was great! Loft was just as pictured with lots of fun trinkets and art to admire. Murphy bed was super comfortable too!Had a great long weekend with plenty of hiking and activities. Great time at the Wanderlust Loft!
This property was close to everything to we wanted to see and do. The host was very friendly and helpful. The loft was clean, beautiful, and comfortable - perfect for a weekend getaway.
We really enjoyed this fun property. I must say it was absolutely the best equipped and stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in! Kudos to John and Lisa, they thought of everything one might need. The kitchen was well stocked with everything including kitchen spices (WOW) and the bed was very comfortable. They even had treats for our dog! I would recommend this property to anyone!
We loved staying here! It was perfect for a long weekend of hiking in the Indiana Dunes National Park! Lots of walkable food options and coffee- the town is quaint and has a lot of potential. This loft has everything you need for a cozy, quiet getaway.
We loved Wanderlust Loft! It was everything we could have wanted. The hosts thought of everything a guest could need; we couldn't ask for a better place. We also loved the location close to great restaurants and activities.
The whole experience was just lovely! The artsy decor was so eclectic and fun while making it feel like a getaway from our everyday lives. The owners thought of everything, from bandaids to games to an umbrella, that we could possibly need. Fully stocked kitchen made it easy to entertain. What a hidden gem in Michigan City!
We had a great stay at Wanderlust! The loft is well appointed with all the amenities you could hope for. We loved all of the art and decor in the loft! It was fun and cozy! A great home away from home! There are local coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. Highly recommend Mucho Mas downstairs and next door. Our stay was only 3 nights and we ate at Mucho Mas twice! Highly recommend and we would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.
I absolutely loved the vibe of this place. The decor is expertly curated; you can tell a lot of thought and love went into it. It felt like a space you'd find in a much bigger city. Bed was comfy, shower was spacious. Very walkable, and the sushi place downstairs was legit. This loft was my favorite part of my trip because the weather decided not to cooperate.
My husband, dog, and I stayed here for the week of Thanksgiving. The loft was exactly as described! Very clean, cool decor, and a great location. Not only was it well stocked for the humans, but there were also extra dog necessities like leash, treats, and poop bags. My husband and I loved it, and our dog was thrilled with the dog blankets and chew toy. Cannot recommend Wanderlust highly enough.
My family (husband, 10 month old baby, and dog) stayed at the Wanderlust Loft for a long weekend getaway. We enjoyed every bit of the stay! The loft was beautiful, clean, stocked with anything we could ever need, and in a great location! The host had great suggestions for nearby things to do and places to eat. So close to Indiana Dune National Park and a short drive to Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan. Great coffee shops within walking distance too! We would love to stay again! Thank you so much for providing a beautiful & pet friendly place for travelers! :D
I can't say enough about this lovely , beautifully decorated loft right in the heart of Michigan City arts district. It was walkable to so many restaurants, bars and shopping! Just a short distance away were many, many more restaurants and convenient shopping. The loft itself was just a dream. Attention to detail was very notably present. The bed was ultra comfortable, and most basic necessities were readily available with permission to utilize them. The neighborhood felt safe for the most part, with a band even playing on Friday night. It was also very nice to order carry out from the Mexican place right down below, and bring it back up!Beach was a five minute drive away with beautiful sunsets. Spent much time at Indiana Dunes State and National Parks, which were a very short drive away. Also took a day trip to Marshall Indiana for some hiking at Turkey Run State Park, hands down some of the most challenging and FUN hiking we've ever done! Also, lovely botanical gardens a few minutes away which are lovely to stroll through!
I so enjoyed my stay at this property. First of all, it was clean and very well-stocked with linens, cookware, games. Mine was a solo trip but this property would be so nice for a small family or a girls' trip. The owner was so communicative - quick response to emails and great advice when asked, and she is very kind and accommodating. The space is perfectly configured for guests to socialize and enjoy each others' company. There are good restaurants literally steps away - be sure to get some sushi downstairs.
I highly recommend this property to VRBO users.

I can write so much about this little place. First of all, I have always stayed in a hotel but this time someone told me to go this route and I am so glad I did. Lisa was very responsive to answer my questions and I did have a lot. The Artistic Loft is beautiful. My mom and I needed a place to stay for a family wedding. We had a great time in Michigan City. The beach is so relaxing and we walked the Lighthouse. We also went to South Bend. We will be staying here again. Thank you so much for a great experience!

We loved this place, very arty, lots to look at, extremely comfortable, living space is huge, kitchen has absolutely everything you could possibly need and more, bedroom is also huge with a super comfy bed, bathroom was well equipped and everywhere was immaculately clean. We were visiting from the UK for our daughter's wedding who lives in Michigan City now, so we spent the week here and had the most amazing time. Everyone who came by to see us also fell in the love with Wanderlust, we would thoroughly recommend it. Michigan City is a great place with plenty of fab bars and restaurants, we walked everywhere and felt very safe. The lake is around a 20 minute walk away and is well worth it with a lovely beach. You can also drive to New Buffalo in Michigan in around 10/15 minutes which is beautiful and has a lovely lake beach (don't forget the hour change there and back)... can't wait till we can go back to visit our daughter and son in law again.
What a lovely home away from home. We were shocked at the amount of thoughtful touches and care that we experienced at our recent Michigan City visit. The loft was spacious, clean, had a full kitchen, extra pet supplies, beach supplies, and laundry. The host was responsive and gave great tips to enjoy the area to its fullest. We woke up to enjoy the coffee shop down the street every morning, that’s a must and explored the quiet up in coming downtown. The vintage shops in the area were fun additions to this gem. It was a small drive to the beaches or you can walk to main beach down the street. Make sure to buy the parking pass and check out beaches like Kemil that are pet friendly. We loved ordering a sushi roll and popping down the steps to grab it. We didn’t know what to expect for our first visit but by the end of our trip we were sad to leave. Loved the loft, the decor, the beaches and the town. It was a trip with nature and a city perfectly blended thanks to this loft!
