A very charming little house with all of the necessities covered! Apart from everything listed in the description of the property, a few unexpected perks included an extensive collection of Calvin and Hobbes and Farside books (my son was SO excited) and truly one of the most glorious sunsets right over the hills directly in front of the house. A perfect stay for a weekend exploring Kings Canyon and Sequoia!

A cozy canyon home not too far from Sequoia NP. Great sender views to west on this expansive property. Kitchen fully equipped. Convenient outdoor space. AC took a little figuring out, but worked fine. W/D and DW great convenience along with WiFi. Nearby coffee shop and gas station convenient down in the valley to fill up human and car tanks.

We stayed here for 4 days during a family trip to Kings Canyon National Park and it was a wonderful place to stay. The home was very clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed for a comfortable trip.It was well stocked with all the essentials including cleaning supplies and bedding and had all the needed kitchen items and appliances.We came to celebrate my son’s birthday and spend time in the snow in the Sierras, and this house was the perfect home base for our trip. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to my closest friends and family.

This place had clearly been a real family home, not just purchased empty as a vacation rental, and quickly filled with a meager assortment of dishes and linens and furniture. Super comfortable, super usable, we would really have enjoyed staying here for a long visit.

StarryOaks Cottage was the perfect getaway for our family. Not only did it provide easy access to Sequoia and Kings Canyon national parks, it was also a wildlife oasis. We saw plenty of hummingbirds, bunnies, turkey vultures, and deer. The cottage was well stocked, and comfortable.

Peaceful!

Everything was wonderful at this location. It was in a very quiet and peaceful part of the town. The downtown part is only a few minutes away. Everything was easy to find. We loved this location!

We enjoyed a weekend in the Yakuts Valley, a place new to us. StarryOaks Cottage is situated on top of a hill, quiet with a good view of the stars. It was clean and welcoming, easy to check in with the detailed instructions we received. A large kitchen had everything we needed to fix our meals, and we could have coffee on the shady patio outside. The bedrooms were ccmfy and there was plenty of bedding and clean towels. The wifi was fast and steady, there were lots of movies and books, and the climate control system worked well. The owner Elaine always responded quickly during the reservation process and put a binder with everything we needed to know right on the kitchen table. The peaceful nights with no lights or traffic close by were a real treat for us.
