Welcome to Banksia Cottage. The perfect place to relax, refresh and revive!

Built in 1898, this romantic and enchanting two bedroom cottage, offers a combination of historic charm and heart warming character, while being perfectly complimented with all your modern day comforts.

Conveniently located on the city's doorstep in a quiet tree lined street adjacent to a large grassed playground, Banksia Cottage is within walking distance to the cafes, shops, pubs and CBD.

Featuring two bedrooms, open plan living, fireplace and a large well-equipped country kitchen, the cottage is fully self-contained and can accommodate guests for 2 nights or a few weeks.

The gorgeous front veranda provides a perfect spot to sit and take in the delightful garden while enjoying your complimentary refreshments. And if holidaying with your beloved pooch is on your wish list, then bring them along too (pet fee applies)! Only well behaved and quiet dogs need apply. Please review our pet friendly requirements below, prior to booking.

Banksia Cottage is available all year round for short or long term stays, be it for business or pleasure. Prices quoted are for rental of the entire cottage so guests can relax knowing they will have the uninterrupted privacy and freedom, essential for any romantic getaway or revitalising family stay.

**** Pet Friendly Requirements ****

1. All pets must be pre-approved. Please include information about your pet in your booking request, advising breed, age etc. There is a $40 per dog/per stay fee.

2. We accept dogs only (no cats). They must be over 12 months old and fully house trained to be allowed inside the cottage, as we have many costly rugs.

3. Pets are to be kept off all beds and furniture. Evidence of pets being on beds can have an impact on the guests damage deposit.

4. Pets must never be left alone inside the cottage. We have a fabulous backyard you are welcome to utilise.

5. Due to our gardens and neighbours we are unable to accept dogs who bark and/or dig consistently. Well behaved dogs are welcome!

Wonderful just wonderful!

Loved our time at Banksia cottage. A beautiful cottage with fireplace and really well stocked for visitors. Made us and the dog feel very safe and welcome. Would stay here again, it was great.

Awesome Place

The cottage was 126 years old but extremely well maintained. The hosts had lots of little touches which made the stay more pleasant and lots of memorabilia which made the stay very interesting.

The cottage is exactly as advertised, just beautiful. It was very cozy even though it was quite cold outside, it was clean and had everything we needed. Would highly recommend it

A peaceful visit

A lovely traditional cottage, with mostly wooden floors and walls and high ceilings. Bed was very comfortable, and there were plenty of extra blankets and quilts for when it got cool. The garden was very inviting and it was lovely to sit on the front verandah and watch the world go by.

Delightful!

A beautifully presented cottage that gives a homely feel right from the moment you walk in the front door. We didn't want for anything with all living areas well equipped to make our stay comfortable and stress free. The location is ideal, situated in a quiet neighbourhood and within close proximity to the CBD and attractions. We fell in love with Banksia Cottage the first time we walked through the door. A few weeks later, we were the proud new owners of the historic Banksia Cottage. Our guests love Banksia Cottage because it is enchanting and historic. The location is also unbeatable, positioned in a quiet tree-lined street, but only a 10 minute walk from the CBD, restaurants, parks and gardens!
