Beautiful area and lovely host

We had a great time, the cottage is beautiful and in a quiet area, very green and amazing views. The owner was very nice and welcomed us with the most amazing bread and apple juice. She also gave some good recommendations on where to eat etc. Would definitely recommend to stay there for a couple of days!

Excellent location and great host!

This is a very well-appointed and tastefully updated spacious unit. Despite being in a very charming rural location next to horses, goats, and chickens, it's just minutes away from stores and restaurants in town. It's also only 5km from Omaha Beach so it's close to the major thoroughfares. The host also bakes very tasty bread for their guests with divine apple cider. Our children quickly devoured the baguette and declared it even better than the fantastic ones we've had elsewhere in France! Tip: The address provided on the app may not work with GPS. The host will provide an address that works better with GPS.

Wij hebben een heel fijn verblijf gehad. Ruim huis met alle gemakken voorzien. Grote tuin met een schommel en lieve buren (geitjes).Het huis ligt in een rustige omgeving ongeveer 15 min van de bezienswaardigheden zoals La Point du Hoc, Omaha beach, enz. Eigenaresse is erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Kortom een hele fijn plek om vakantie te vieren.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour dans ce logement idéalement situé en Normandie. À mi-chemin de beaucoup de lieu à visiter dans la région tout en étant situé dans un endroit calme et agréable. Très bien

Se trouvant à 10 minutes en voiture du cimetière américain de Collville sur Mer, ce logement est donc très bien situé, dans un endroit sans circulation permettant de profiter en toute quiétude du calme environnant. Il est très bien équipé et on s'y sent très vite comme à la maison, ce qui donne envie de prolonger le séjour! La propriétaire est très accueillante, du jus de pomme, brioche et café étant en autres prévus à notre arrivée. Nous ne manquerons pas de revenir.

Fantastic!

Everything was perfect. The house is beautiful as in the pics. The view from the house … the quiet… there’s even goats and horses as neighbours! Virginie is very kind and helpful. She even found us a restaurant (that accepted our dog!) when we arrived late the first day. I was totally recommend the house to visit Omaha beach, Bayeux and the rest of the amazing Normandy !

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans ce gîte décoré avec goût, et bien équipé . La literie est très confortable . Tout le nécessaire est fourni pour vous éviter d'aller en courses dès votre arrivée (café, thé, savon ...) . L'hôte est très accueillante et disponible, elle vous reçoit avec pleins de petites attentions (délicieuse brioche, caramel de la région... ). Localisation idéale pour visiter la région (plage du débarquement, musées, fabrique de caramel à isigny , restaurants ... )

Virginie nous a fait un accueil parfait, souple et agréable. Avec des conseils touristique, joignable pendant tous le séjour pour répondre à nos questions et même a une demande exceptionnelle de plat à lasagne ! La cuisine est bien équipée. La maison est très agréable, lumineuse donnant sur un beau jardin, la terrasse est très pratique et permet de déjeuner/ dîner au soleil. Entourée de verdure et de voisins sympathiques : chèvres, poules et poulains. Idéal pour les enfants. A 10 min de la plage d'Omaha beach, pas loin de Bayeux. Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour !

Location bien située pour séjour normand

La maison est bien située par rapport à toutes les attractions de la région. La vue sur le jardin et la balançoire permet de surveiller facilement les enfants qui adorent voir les cheveux aussi dans le fond du jardin. Maison calme et environnement serein. Maison très bien équipée pour une famille avec des jeunes enfants.

Kleines Holzhaus in umwerfender Lage...

...etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber funktional eingerichtet. Das Haus steht frei auf einem großen Grundstück. Leider gibt es für die große Terrasse keine Liegestühle bzw. Polster für die Gartenstühle. Das Wohn-/Esszimmer mit Küchenzeile ist geräumig, die Küche ist gut ausgestattet. Die beiden Schlafzimmer sind allerdings sehr klein und verfügen nur über jeweils eine Kommode, so dass man aus dem Koffer leben muss, wenn man zu viert ist und nicht eines der beiden Zimmer als Garderobe nutzen kann. Die französischen Betten - sehr schmal - mit nur einer großen Decke für zwei muss man mögen...Das Duschbad mit Toilette ist geräumig, die Sanitärinstallationen funktionieren einwandfrei, aus der Dusche kommt heißes Wasser mit ordentlichem Druck - da haben wir schon ganz anderes erlebt! Die Lage ist fantastisch - ländlicher geht’s nicht, absolut ruhig! Mit Hund ideal! Trotzdem ist man schnell am Strand, bei den Sehenswürdigkeiten oder in Bayeux und Port en Bessin mit seinen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Frisches Baguette und herrliche Fleisch- und Wurstwaren gibt es aber auch beim Bäcker und beim Metzger im nur zwei Kilometer entfernten Trevieres, dort findet man auch einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen. Die Vermieter sind sehr zurückhaltend - An- und Abreise vollkommen easy! Wer im Urlaub keinen Luxus braucht, sondern einfach und ruhig eine schöne Zeit auf diesem ebenso herrlichen wie geschichtsträchtigen Fleckchen französischer Erde verbringen möchte, für den ist dieses Haus richtig!

Schöne Unterkunft, aber nicht gepflegt

Die Unterkunft war praktisch und vollständig eingerichtet, aber zu unserem Bedauern nicht gut gepflegt (z. B. nicht schließbare Terassentür, defekte Liegestühle). Zudem müssen wir leider auch allgemein die Sauberkeit der Unterkunft bemängeln. Deshalb von uns nur 3 Sterne.
