Very good value - everything was clean and tidy, nice garden for kids to play in, outdoor kitchen/bar area to socialize in the warmer months.
Great communication from hosts.
Would both recommend and stay again.
Our stay was wonderful. hosts were friendly and caring. Nana was an absolute delight. Spoilt us with home preserves for breaky and we really appreciated that they made us feel at home the whole stay. thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!
We recently stayed here as we were flying in overseas for a wedding. The location was perfect, however that is the only positive. Sadly the listing was nothing as described. Communication was appalling ,we prebooked this almost a year in advance. Days before we were due to arrive I reached out and received nothing. I had to contact the help centre to find a number so I could personally contact the host. As there was 10 of us travelling we were extremely stressed and on top of that when we finally arrived, the rooms were full of bugs!We stayed in the room next to the main house and got wifi/ however the other rooms near the communal area could not access it. Our room had a collapsible bed in front of the main door so we couldn’t even access it, we had to leave our room unlocked as we could only enter through the ranchslider which could only be locked from the inside. The listing claimed to have a continental breakfast and a communal kitchen however the supplies were minimal. 1/2 a loaf of bread in the main kitchen and in the main house for 10 people in total staying for 4 days. Absolutely nothing to cook with. We had to purchase supplies daily. 2 days after checkout they claimed we had to pay “extra” cleaning fees for the linen as our kids left some food stains on the sheets and claimed that we had “broken” the collapsible bed and we needed to pay for it. The first night our son slept on it we noticed something wasn’t right so we didn’t let him use it. Very disappointing.
Kia ora, great find throughout from meeting place for our family from various parts of the North Island. As we needed to accommodate Bronson-dog. Rosemary and Anne Marie were very helpful, highly recommended. We did last minute shopping at Cambridge and wasn't let down! Feeding the chickens, vege garden, taking roses home, thank you so much. All the best.
Just wow. Such a lovely experience . The accommodation was spotless, we did not need for anything. Kindling and wood was set up for the outside fire . Breakfast spreads were made from produce of the garden. The grounds are exquisite and the history of the area very interesting. We indulged ourselves on the Saturday evening with Roast trimmings and Dessert. A real kiwi family sit down evening with the ladies of the house. We ventured into Cambridge for lunch and a mooch around the local shops and 2nd handshops. Highly recommended area to visit.
From booking to arriving - excellent communication all the way through. Our engagement with the host was exceptional, the standard of the rooms was very high. Very clean throughout. Linen, towels, kitchenware, all very clean and tidy. The place itself has a wonderful vegetable garden. We were a combination of 4 families with young children. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the accomodation and interaction with hosts. Loved it!
