Sound View Retreat is a lovely secluded beachside location where you can relax with family and friends.
The views from the open living area extend over Lake Vancouver to the townsite of Albany, across Princess Royal Harbour continuing around to King George Sound and the Southern Ocean. Emu Point at the entrance to Oyster Harbour channels the view towards the Stirling Ranges which can be seen on a clear day.
The Sound is a popular retreat for the great Humpback whales and Southern Rights as they make their annual migration along the coast. At the right time of the year you don't even have to leave the comfort of the lounge to see them relaxing and playing in the Sound.
Whether it's a summer holiday enjoying the pristine beaches and nature trails in the area or a cosy winter break watching the waves crash onto Breaksea Island as you sit by the wood fire, Sound View Retreat is the place to be.

The property is lovely, you feel like you are at home the minute you walk through the door. There are all the comforts of home and more. It is a quiet area and you can hear the ocean and all the birds that hang out in the trees. You are very close to Goode beach and it is excellent for those long walks, collecting any shells you may find and also making new friends with the galah's that are frequent visitors.
This place has the most wonderful view of the bay and you can even see Albany from the house. It was the perfect place to stay with our two boys and grandparents. Goode beach is a quiet place where the residents are friendly and life just is slow. Great spot to explore hikes and walks and beaches for swimming and fishing. Jen and Richard are great hosts, responsive and welcoming. We would love to come back one day.
The house is well located, short stroll to Goode Beach & close to all the beautiful spots in Torndirrup National Park with amazing views. It’s quiet, peaceful & very comfortable. The house had everything we need & especially loved the open fire.Communication with the hosts was excellent. We will definitely be back.
Great communication and local advice, house is excellent, comfortable and well appointed. Location just a few minutes drive to Albany central and road access to a galaxy of must go see places. Fantastic, relaxing holiday and great memories made. Would 100% recommend.
We had visitors from Perth join us for the weekend and they were blown away with the view! Unfortunately we didn’t see much sun but it didn’t rain! It was quiet and secluded! Cleanliness was a 10. If we were to give a negative it had no air fryer but we lived without it! Value for money was a no brainer so thank you so much
