Poppa's Place: Safe & secluded, close to Lake Taupo & Tongariro

Poppa's Place is set in the charming town of Omori, New Zealand. It has easy access to Lake Taupo, and it's a great spot for walks, a spot of fishing or relaxing next to the fire with a good book. This family-friendly home has a main 2-bedroom house and sleep-out within metres from each other. The main house is equipped with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, dining, lounge and bathroom. The sleep-out is fully equipped with a studio style bedroom, fully functioning kitchen, bathroom & sitting area.

Poppa's Place has been recently renovated, so you can stay in style with a new kitchen, bathroom, new (very comfortable) beds, a beautiful roaring fire, a large TV and modern conveniences.

Enjoying your time at Poppa’s Place:
- The spacious outdoor entertaining area has a large table, chairs, umbrella and BBQ to use.
- The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook even the largest of meals!
- Dining comfortably seats 6.
- Take the picnic set down to the lake to enjoy a day by the beach.
- There are a number of books and board games available for you to use during your stay.

Bedding & Linen:
- Towels, sheets, bedding provided.
- Pillows with pillow protectors and duvets with duvet covers are provided.
- Queen size air mattress & spare duvet is available to use.
- Single air mattress & spare duvet also available.

For those with kids:
- High chair
- Porta-cot and mattress
- Plastic cups & cutlery
- Toys & books
- Playground is 2 minutes walk away

Guest access
Please note, to keep cleaning costs down for our guests, bookings for 2 people (unless requested otherwise) will have access to the main house only. If you would like to use the sleep out, let me know and I can provide access.
No access to the garage.

Poppa place was just what we needed. A wonderful family home feeling with all the necessities you could need, especially the fire place on the colder mornings. Communication was amazing and took out any of our worries of being able to extend our stay last minute. Would highly recommended Poppa’s Place.

Great place in a great location

Poppa's place is a great place for a great getaway. We had access to a boat and this was an ideal location for us. The house is clean, well furnished and very comfortable. Highly recommended.

Why they chose this property

Poppa's Place - our holiday home - has been in our family since 1982, when our Dad purchased the land and built the studio at the back of the property. Some years later, in 1999 he added the house to the front of the section. Now, my sisters and I own the holiday house and want to share it with you.
