Little Finchley, Wandandian - pet friendly

Little Finchley is self-contained with small sitting room, separate QS bedded room, and full bathroom (NOTE: shower over bath). The unit has a private entrance off an enclosed (marine wire) sheltered and gated deck which includes outdoor seating and BBQ. We are situated in a pretty, tranquil, rural setting of lightly treed land overlooking a large dam to the east, and only two minutes from the Princes Highway in Wandandian, half way between Nowra to the North and Milton-Ulladulla to the south and only 20 minutes from the heart of Jervis Bay. The unit is smaller than our main cottage (refer property listing 9171423), and is best suited to shorter stays, eg travellers who are just stopping overnight in transit, or a couple of nights on a longer journey up or down the coast, or people who will be out most of the time and don't need all the additional amenities or space provided with the main cottage (this smaller unit has no kitchen, and limited catering facilities). The unit includes TV, DVD player, toaster, kettle, small electric frypan, microwave, crockery, cutlery, some pantry items (coffees - including plunger, teas, toast toppers, oil, condiments etc), and a bar fridge. A fan or evaporative cooler are available if required in the hotter months; electric blankets and column heater in winter. Continental breakfast provisions are included in the price, and are negotiated with the guests at time of booking. Guests prepare breakfast for themselves at their convenience. Well-behaved, house-trained dogs are welcome, subject to negotiation and advising of breed(s) and age(s) of pets at time of booking. The unit is non-smoking, and is equipped with smoke detectors. A BBQ is also available on the deck, and appropriate tools provided. The rooms are small but comfortable. There is plenty of space for pets to stretch their legs outdoors, and we ask that guests respect the environment, resident hosts and neighbours when staying at Finchley. No parties, no additional guests except by prior negotiation, and please pick up after your dogs.

We bought the original cottage specifically to set up a B and B, adding on our 2 storey residence, and later on, incorporated Little Finchley (between main guest cottage space and residential extention) which still doubles as our private guest suite when necessary. It is ideal as a smaller option for shorter stays, for single or a couple of through-travellers etc (does not have kitchen facilities), but can also be an extension to the main cottage for larger groups of guests. It's a cosy little home away from home. Pets are also welcome in here, provided that they are over 6 months of age and guaranteed well-behaved and house-trained.

Why they chose this property

We chose this site because of its delightful setting and proximity to many very beautiful attractions in the Jervis Bay area. It is an ideal place to come home to and chill out, at the end of a busy day exploring, doing walking trails, beaches, wineries etc, or even a day trip inland to the lovely Southern Highlands region and Kangaroo Valley etc.

What makes this property unique

We are away from the hustle and bustle of the larger towns/villages, while still being very accessible to same (20 - 30 mins from many of Jervis Bay region's favourite attractions), and a peaceful and pretty place to escape to from the big smoke or get a good sleep after a long day's drive, also providing plenty of secure fenced space for pets to safely have a good run around.
