About this property

Tallgums Hideaway - family beach retreat

Tallgums hideaway is a charming cedar cottage close to Broulee Beach and the Tomaga river.

It has 2 double bedrooms (one double and one queen bed) and two lofts with two single beds in each. Lofts are accessed by ladders and are suitable for children over the age of seven or adults without mobility problems.

Pillows and doonas are provided but you need to bring your own sheets, pillowslips, towels (being older owners, we need to be careful of Covid).
The bathroom has a shower, toilet, basin and also laundry sink and a small washing machine.
The kitchen has refrigerator, oven, microwave and a full complement of crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment and cooling air conditioning and separate electric heating.

On site parking will accommodate 2 cars.

The cottage is surrounded by a natural garden of spotted gums and cycads.
Walk to the Tomaga river in 5 minutes or to Broulee beach in 15 minutes (5 minutes by car).

Note: the property is available for a minimum of two days.

I love rustic, comfortable holiday houses like this that remind me of holidays as a child. Also, having things supplied that you’d have in your own home is very convenient, eg condiments, books, games. The walk with the dog by the water each morning to the coffee place was very enjoyable, as were the many nearby beaches.

My Family and I really enjoyed our stay. They are also pet friendly accomodation. Everything that you need is there they already have condiments for cooking. The place is perfect if you want to unwind.

We loved being surrounded by tall gums, black cockatoos, kookaburras, lorikeets and wattle birds. We didn't spot the elusive echidna, Eccles, but we did have a tree frog on one of our towels. It was an easy walk to the beach, and a short drive to little supermarkets.
