Fabulous place for a family get together, house lived up to expectations, great location, kangaroos and birds entertained our grandchildren and overseas guests. Would be very happy to return.
Property surrounds and location is beautiful…..
Only downfall was that one bathroom toilet was en-suite and one stand alone which makes it difficult with 12 adults!
Some utensils and appliances need updating!
House was great and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely garden area and location is perfect for quick access to beaches and town. Thanks Rik!

Not great
The house was run down not very clean lots of dead bugs under the bed and couches we had spiders and large ants in 2 of the beds. We couldnt access the pantry so all our food had to stay on the bench. In the photos it shows a spa bath but it wasnt working. It had family/ childen photos on the wall we found that very strange. Pots and pans when falling apart rice cooker didnt work fridge made most of our food icey. Definitely wasn't worth what we paid wouldnt recommend
Lovely home over looking trees and country side and really short drive into Margaret River and surrounds. Beautiful decking outside , coupd do with another fry pan considering thebhouse holds 12 people and one frypan othr than that was amazing time

Bad timing
Their water tank collapsed prior to our stay. This probably impact the water supply, we are not able to shower as temperature control and water pressure fluctuated. Hot and cold so we end up filling the bath for body wipe.
Only use the place to sleep.
The nature and surrounding is excellent but total letdown by the water supply.
Had a great stay in HoneyEater, plenty of room for 7 adults to spread out. Beds were very comfy.
Only issue was hot water pressure was a bit iffy & had loss of power at one end of the house on our last morning, however the host did return our email quickly.
Perhaps the empty bins could have been brought in from the street prior to our arrival, which we had to do.
All in all we would stay there again.
12 Crafty ladies had a wonderful stay at Honeyeater. The house is huge, clean, plenty of space and perfect location! Very quiet, lots of birds singing and kangaroos visiting near your window. Ideal place to relax 😍
Only a few comments about the place, it’s very spacious but an extra toilet would make it perfect if a big group is staying. Also the shower is just trickling and very hard to adjust water temperature. Tap washers needs to be replaced because it sprays when you turn them on. Also 2x bath maths in the two bathrooms are required if few people are staying.
Apart from these little things, we would definitely stay here again!
We found the house Honeyeater in Margaret River a wonderful family get away. Plenty of space for 12 grown ups and children to have space. Plenty of grassed areas for the children to play on with the added bonus of a cubby house.
The fire kept the house nice and toasty with an abundance of wood for us to us.
Close to Margaret River and wineries.
Thank you once again for an amazing stay.
The Honey Eater house was amazing, the photos don't do it justice.
There is nothing I can fault.
The house is so well equipped with everything you need including children and baby feeding equipment.
The beds are so comfortable some are super king or larger it felt like we were staying in a hotel.
The house is well spaced out with good separation between the rooms.
There is almost 2 wings of the house which is great for large groups of people with young children.
We enjoyed getting up and looking out the windows to see how many kangaroos and rabbits we could see.
The house literally has everything we needed for the stay.
Location wise its very convenient, short drive to town and Prevelly beach.
We really enjoyed our experience renting this property. The location was amazing and the view was devine. It was peaceful and beautiful to watch the wildlife in the backyard. The house was absolutely fantastic and will definitely be booking again 😀
A lovely big house that suited our family get together perfectly.
Would certainly recommend this property if you're exploring the beautiful Margaret River area.
This was our 2nd trip to Honeyeater and we’ll be back again.
It’s a nice, large, comfortable and home with a beautiful outlook. Quite location not far from town. The host Rik goes above and beyond for his guests.
Can definitely recommend.
After Covid-19 kept our family apart across the country, time together was high on the list of priorities. How lucky we were to find this gem, free over the Easter weekend - providing the backdrop to the most special break we could have hoped for. Spacious, without being impersonal, Honeyeater was homely and comfortable. Waking up to kangaroos was a treat, so was being just a short drive to the town centre - the perfect balance of feeling ‘away from it all’ with the convenience of being close to everything. The house was tidy, clean and communication was impeccable. If I was to nit-pick, an extra toilet in the main bathroom would be great, but it wasn’t an insurmountable problem for us as a family. Thanks Rik for a special and unforgettable weekend - we’ll be back!
