Our time at this Gold Bar cabin was wonderful! The home is beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed. The hot tub was great! We enjoyed walking through the beautiful forest out to the river several times. Couldn't recommend it more!

Nice place, needs work
Nice place, but needs a little work. Many details need attention such as hole in the wall from door handle, light bulbs that are out, carpet needs to be cleaned, hot tub cover wasn't on, and internet connection was abysmal.

Hi Glen, thank you for your review. We wanted to pass along the following feedback from the homeowners: "We are sorry to hear you were less than thrilled with your stay.
-We sincerely apologize for the small hole in the wall caused by a previous guest--we will get that repaired right away.
-We have the carpets cleaned regularly but will address this right away.
-The hot tub is serviced weekly and should be latched every time, and we are not sure how it was left unlatched, but we will make sure to address that moving forward so it won't be overlooked.
-We do have slow internet but have tried to make that as clear as possible on our listing so our guests know what to expect. We are investigating options for faster internet down the road. Thank you for your feedback and your stay!"
Weekend mountain getaway for the wife and I. Arrived late afternoon Friday to the wonderful open-style cabin. Just the two of us but the cabin is spacious enough for many more, having two bedrooms and an open loft with a king bed and bunk beds. The wood fireplace is well stocked with dry wood and wax fire starters at the ready and crystal clear instructions how to work the double flue. The house warms quickly and also has space heaters for those so inclined. Hiked nearby Frog Mountain trail on Saturday and found snow showers at the top. Dealt with a flat tire after the hike due to an unruly rock embedding in one of our front tires on the gravel road to the trailhead. Great DVD selection (200?) was a hidden gem and we enjoyed a few during our stay. The short walk to the river out the back door is a great little excursion while you stay, and a hot tub round out this great place.
Great place, cozy with great amenities. Hot tub, kitchen equipment and distribution of rooms and common places are very nice for a short stay with family and friends.
We loved our stay! We were fortunate to have lots of snow on the property. It was clean, there was plenty of firewood, and the cabin had all the essentials and then some. Hot tub was fabulous and we had no issues with wifi during our stay. We had such a great time and would absolutely recommend for families!
This cozy log cabin is truly situated in a beautiful location. The forest, firepit, and nearby river are perfect for a family looking to enjoy nature. We had a great time just hanging around the property but the house is also in easy driving distance of great hikes too. Would definitely return!
We took along a pop-up cover for the hot tub.
Another sectional couch or sofa is needed downstairs around the fireplace.
Kitchen door lock scrapes your finger as you try to turn it because of a screw.
Several repairs are needed on deck and step railings for safety.
We had fun and enjoyed the firepit, outdoor grill, and river beach.
Great cabin right off highway 2 but you can not hear the traffic thankfully. You hear the river outside and the occasional train going by. We did not see one neighbor the whole time which was amazing. Secluded cabin that is a short walk down to the river.
Pros: beds were super comfortable, tons of towels and seating. Hot tub was amazing. Lots of wood you can start a fire with. BBQ was great.
Cons: the furniture is nice but a little warn down. Upstairs couch was great and looked newer. I would recommend having some kids cups, plates and utensils. Kitchen spice cabinet needs a little update and some oven mits would be nice, couple more cloth kitchen towels would be recommended.
Had a great time and enjoyed the peace and quiet.
Great cabin in the woods. Lucked out with lots of snow. Very pretty and peaceful. Comply beds, well appointed kitchen. The hot tub rounded out the stay!!! Would rent again!!
The property was exactly as advertised and a perfect fit for our family of four to getaway for a quiet weekend. The kids had the two bedrooms on the main floor, and we took the loft all for ourselves! Lots of thoughtful touches that made traveling easier ... holiday decor, bathroom stool, high chair, sleds and toys (loved the Lincoln Logs). Gorgeous view of mountains and plenty of space to run around outside. You can see neighbors, but it still felt private. Too rainy for fire pit and hot tub as expected in the NW, but we really hope to come back in the summertime. Great all-season appeal to this cabin. Close to a lot of outdoor activities, too.
Amazing place for a cozy, quiet weekend. The hot tub was great to use, secluded and a nice ambiance with the outdoor string lights. This cabin was more than enough for our group of three, but nice to be able to spread out. Kitchen was well equipped.
My family and I stayed for Thanksgiving in this amazing cabin. It had more then enough room to accommodate 8 family members comfortably, as well as provided everything necessary from dinner to board games afterwards. Amazing place, beautiful surrounding, I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone!
