Gingerbread Cottage - Quiet Getaway
Cosy "Gingerbread Cottage", minutes from Somerset Dam - Dogs welcome!
Fabulous holiday house nestled in a quiet cul-de-sac in the historic village of Somerset Dam. Ideal for the family or a bunch of friends wanting to escape and enjoy the peaceful setting that Gingerbread Cottage has to offer.
Downstairs has a hotel style queen sized master attached to the shared colonial style bathroom. Comfortable cosy lounge area with widescreen TV and a selection of DVD's to enjoy. Roomy fully equipped kitchen hosting a fridge/freezer with ice and water, upright cooker, indoor dining area and a hideaway laundry. Downstairs is also air-conditioned and has ceiling fans. The back deck offers a great place to have morning coffee while overlooking the back yard and treed hillside. Expect a visit from the wild but friendly King Parrots. At night it's a great place to enjoy a BBQ and entertain.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms, with ceiling fans and air conditioners, one with a queen size bed and another with two king single beds. Both rooms have an additional trundle bed to comfortably sleep three. A bathroom completes upstairs.
Gingerbread Cottage is minutes from Lake Somerset. The lake is ideal for BBQ's, boating, canoeing, fishing, kayaking, jet skiing, sailing, water skiing, swimming and walking.
To the north of Somerset is Kilcoy, a quiet rural town where you will find the legendary statue of the Yowie. The drive from Kilcoy to Esk takes you around the foreshores of Lake Somerset where there is a wonderland of hidden valets, bushland and quiet rivers. To the south of Somerset is the historic township of Esk. Nestled beneath the magnificent Glen Rock, Esk is a beautifully kept town with a range of cafe's, gift and antique stores and sites to explore.
Pets are welcome at our property. If you would like to bring you pet into the house, prior arrangement must be made or damage deposit may be forfeited.
Please clean up after your pet, failure to do so will result in the damage deposit being forfeited.
Strictly no parties or load music past 10;30 pm.
